Madonna and Child Bisque Figure

Found this interesting Madonna and Child bisque figure today. I call it unusual because I'd never run across this pose before.. got it for $1.50 at the thrift store.

I think it was originally secured to a base though because it's hollow and there are remnants of glue on the bottom edge.

Yeah, excellent condition actually.. there actually is very little glue, just enough to notice if you tip it over.

Is there any sort of marking inside it to hint who might have made this?

Ebay

and a few other sites and can't find this.

I was all over ebay and didn't see it there either

Gave this a neighbor who admired it for Christmas..

He's since gone into a nursing home and I'm guessing this got thrown out. Shame that you can accumulate all your life only to lose it through illness.
