I saw a cute one at Resurrection Cemetery in Chicago. A husband and wife were laid to rest next to each other. Her tombstone had an arrow pointing to his, and the words, "I'm with him!"

I'm not sure where you'd get a list... I think half the fun would be walking the cemetery to try and find the quotes!

Used to stroll through old cemetaries as a kid but never really saw odd ones, and if i did i was to young to remember what they said...or im too old now to remember. Im curious to know what my wife would have on mine. Probably something about spending all my free time casting or posting in internet websites....lol

:)

Not sure if this makes me strange or not but I like to walk through old cemetaries. Especially ones in the 1800's.

Anyways, not sure if these are real sayings or just ones that are fun for ideas to use but here's a few for you to read:

"I told you it would end this way."

"Excuse my dust".

Not sleeping, just dead.

"If you want to dance on my grave, there's a cover charge and two-drink minimum."

"Hey! You! Stop stepping on my head!"

"I can't believe you wasted money on this! I said I wanted to be cremated!"

"Got in the last word."

Here are a few more that I found while surfing the web:

Here lies an athiest, John Doe
All dressed up and no place to go!"

''I wish you were here''

"Gone underground for good."

"Going! Going! Gone!"

From a headstone in Ireland: Death Quotes
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

his and hers . husband/wife. the husband buys the wife a headstone saying "cold as usual". she buys one back "stiff at last"

Behold and see
all that pass by,
As you are now
so once was I;
As I am now
So you must be,
Prepare for death
And follow me.

It's not a Wisconsin one, but out in Salt Lake City there's a gravestone marked "Victim of the Beast, 666." Thing is, the woman seems to have lived a quiet life and died of natural causes at a fairly old age...

Very interesting, I'd like to see the entire marker.
How did you find this Crys?

anyway stoney was inspired by it.

The beast sent Lilly Gray to the grave
history of what happen was never saved
time may tell, the stone may say
but for us we must kneel and pray

they say 666 is the mark
but numbers can't be seen in the dark
for her death maybe our dismay
was it on the devils day

her legand may be underground
was she heaven or hellbound
was her tale a one with twists
does her headstone as her lifestyle fit

as the flowers on her marker bloom
can be seen night or day
is this something sinsiter,someting gloom
or did she just do it her way

Lilly's story may baffle or confound
"devils lantens" looking down
obvious connection assume a clue
or Aleister Crowley just collected his dues

Cool 8)

I found a reference to it on the Ghosthunters forums. I don't read any forums very often and almost never post; no time. But sometimes I like to skim certain forums for interesting information, and TAPS has one of those forums.

On the topic of the thread: I don't recall the name on the stone, but when I was visiting the cemetary where some of my father's family is buried in NE Ohio, I remember seeing "See, I told you I'd have plenty of time to sleep when I was dead."

I think I want mine to say something like "I guess I wasn't late for my own funeral after all. No one is more surprised than me."

or maybe a past-tense of my sig:

"I had a unique relationship with Lady Luck.
She smiled on me all the time.

Usually it was with derision."

Ok so I googled ole Lilly or should I say Lillie, it seems some are saying it was Lillie and her name before Gray was Zimmerman. Could she be Bob's mom?
anyway with little information that I would consider reliable and a tomstome that does not looked aged enough for me, I am guessing the "H" but here is all I really found that looks like a complied document for what it is worth.

It must be true it is in adobe format !!

Coming thru Juneau on Hwy 26.....across from the airport.....there is a old cemetary. I stopped one day and walked thru it.
The grave stones were very basic, little information and looked to be made of cement. I could not find a name on this cemetary and can not find info about it either. There are some old markers there from the 1800's, but also newer ones.
Does anyone know what this cemetary is about? (other then deceased people ~ LOL) I mean...were these people who did not have family? OR?
I also came across a row or two of children that died under the age of 12.

I love walking thru old cemetary's.

This page has a list of some cemetaries in the area; could it be one of these?
