Re: Forever homes needed.
ADOPTED!
I went home with SABIE to Highland Park, Il.!
Try you think about what it would feel like if no one wanted you? That's what so many cats go through. Alli is another example of this too. Hopefully she will find a 'forever' home soon.
ALLI...is a darling SEALPOINT SNOWSHOE SIAMESE. She is spayed, had a complete dental and bloodwork done and is just PURRFECT! Look at those little white toes and chin! How cute is that? She and SABIE (see above) came from a situation where they were being passed from home to home because really nobody wanted them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them, they just couldn't find their "Forever Homes" and landed in rescue. Her foster mom describes her: "Alli is very sweet, calm, mellow and just wonderful. She loves to have her tummy rubbed, and likes quiet snuggle time. She plays with catnip toys, and meows for attention when she feels like she is being left out. She is really one of the nicest fosters I have ever had. (She's the one my vet's new assistant was trying to find a home for because she liked her so much!) She has a really soft plush coat too!" Since Alli came with with another cat (they do NOT have to be adopted together) we know she will get along with another non-dominant, easy-going one. She is fine with respectful older kids and would probably be ok with a dog that would ignore her. Alli is a very healthy 10 years young, but since this breed is one of the longest lived (20+ is no at all uncommon) she has at least another decade of love to give! The reduced "mature" adoption fee applies. BEING FOSTERED IN MILWAUKEE, WI.

Re: Forever homes needed.
ADOPTED!
I went home to Chicago!
Certainly a poster cat AGAINST declawing. So much pain this kitty went through. Hopefully the rest of her life will be great when a good person adopts her.
COCOA...is a beautiful SEALPOINT SIAMESE. She just had her 6th birthday, is spayed, 4 paw declawed and is ready to go to town in deep hues of chocolate browns accented by her fabulous summer blue eyes. She's about 10.5 pounds and is a fairly large framed kitty (but not particularly overweight). Cocoa found herself dumped at a humane society in rural western Wisconsin for reasons unknown. We know that she has been through a lot but she is quickly blossoming in foster care. As a kitten she endured a front declaw AND while recovering from those painful amputations, had her leg stepped on and broken. She healed up only to later be BACK DECLAWED as a full grown adult. Fortunately she gets around just fine but that's a lot of pain for a young cat to have to endure. Despite all this she is a sweet girl, somewhat reserved, and just a little anxious in new situations. However, when she knows you she purrs like crazy, plays with toys, loves to be pet and gives back lots of lovin'. She would adjust well in a home that is a bit more quiet. A gentle, laid back cat or unassuming dog would be fine. Small children would probably be unsettling for her. It's time for this beautiful girl to receive gentle care, lots of kisses and love for the rest of her life. BEING FOSTERED IN OSHKOSH, WI.

Re: Forever homes needed.
LOL This kitty is too cute! Someone has to fall in love with this cutie.
MR. EMERSON...is an adorable RED PERSIAN. He is around 6 years old, neutered, front declawed and just about the cutest thing you'd ever want to see! He has big gold eyes, is around 7 pounds and received a lion cut a couple of months ago that as it grows out makes him look just like a Muppet! Mr. Emerson had been living in a northern Wisconsin shelter for many months. The shelter went through some troubled times during which every record and the paperwork for more than 75 animals was destroyed. So Mr. Emerson really has no identity or history. He quickly became the favorite among all of the staff at the shelter and they tearfully requested that we help out because no one in rural, northern Wisconsin would ever consider adopting a Persian. Mr. Emerson IS every bit as lovable as they said! He is so attentive to his humans. He is playful, craves butt scratches and just looks at you with those big gold eyes as if to say, "please, please love me". At times he flinches a little bit, is initially shy and given his once horribly matted coat, it is possible that he was abused in a previous life. However, he is really ready now to create a new identity. He would do wonderfully in a gentle, quiet home and would probably be fine with another loving, quiet kitty or snuggly dog. (No rough housin' allowed for this guy.) BEING FOSTERED IN OSHKOSH, WI

Re: Forever homes needed.
That is so cool pk. I think Mr. Emerson is such a cutie. His hair looks like my hair in the morning. It is so great to see that that site is getting so much recognition from different states and these well deserved cats can finally be loved permanetly.

Re: Forever homes needed.
She looks like she is a very soft fluffy pillow. And I love when a cat purrs all the time.
CHEYENNE...is a lovely BLUE PERSIAN. She is 4 years old, spayed and just had a full dental completed. She is actually a tiny little girl...only 5 POUNDS and has a full, cottony gray coat and bright gold eyes (please excuse the Photoshop "red eye" correction...her eyes are MUCH prettier in real life! Cheyenne has a very flat face but we made sure she had laser surgery to open up her nose and she is breathing just fine! She is a typical easy-going, quiet, sweet-natured sweetheart of a cat who would love a home where she would be doted on. She loves attention and purrs just about all the time. She gets along fine with other easy-going cats and would be fine with a dog that would ignore her. The best home would be one familiar with the maintenance needs of Persians or Himilayans. She has a dense coat that needs to be groomed daily or kept in an easy "lion cut". She is good about grooming. BEING FOSTERED IN GURNEE, IL.

Re: Forever homes needed.
I feel so bad for Shadow. Poor guy. I know once I moved out on my own it was essential that the place I lived accepted my cat or I continued to look. Another thing is some landlords will accept a pet if you are willing to pay more toward a security deposit. I learned that out on my own. But, I would not give up my cat to stay somewhere. I kept looking and I do feel bad for those who have no other options then to have to give their loved pet away.

Re: Forever homes needed.
Check out his toes...they are so cute.
REX...is a lovely SEALPOINT SNOWSHOE SIAMESE. He is 7 years old, neutered and just had a full dental done. Rex was in a home where he was loved but was left behind when the family moved. As you can see by the photo, he has big blue eyes and the very tips of his toes are white, like he's been dipping Oreos in milk! Rex is a very friendly, easy-going guy who lived with another cat in his previous home and is doing great in foster care. He is a lap cat and is not high energy or particularly talkative. He's around 10 pounds and is just a sweetheart, purring and purring. Rex would be a great family cat because he is so outgoing and fine with other pets and small kids. The reduced "mature" adoption fee applies. BEING FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI

Re: Forever homes needed.
 ADOPTED!
I went home to Addison, Ill.!
Who can resist a cat that has eyes as beautiful as this!
JESSIE...is a gorgeous BLUE POINT SIAMESE. He is 1 year old, neutered, has an easy short coat in grays and creams and probably the most beautiful pair of baby blues we have ever seen in this rescue (and that's saying A LOT). They are positively LUMINOUS! Jessie probably has a pretty sad story to tell, but because he's not yet mastered English (and he really isn't talkative anyway) we'll never know what led to him being left at a shelter nearly starved to death. He was a walking skeleton when he entered our rescue but good food, lots of TLC and plenty of petting changed that all around! He is now back up to a normal body weight of around 7 pounds (he's a naturally slim guy anyway) and is absolutely READY to go to his Forever Home! Jessie is active and busy, as you'd expect from a young Siamese. We expect he will be playful, once he gets over his dual excitement of having all this FOOD available and LOVE around. He doesn't like being picked up (gets squirmy) but that is very normal for cats coming out of an unknown background. However he is such an attention hog, this is sure to change very quickly. Jessie is currently sharing a foster room with another young siamese who is more dominant and he pretty much ignores his antics so we feel confident he would do great with any kitty. We don't know about dogs but he would probably enjoy respectful kids who would give him a lot of attention. Boy does he deserve a HAPPY ENDING! BEING FOSTERED IN KENOSHA, WI.

Re: Forever homes needed.
Just had to post the new updated picture of Pumpkin. I think she looks so cute but does have a worried look..maybe she is concerned that no one wants to give her a 'forever' home. Hope someone comes for her soon so she can stop being worried.
PUMPKIN...is a lovely RED PERSIAN. She is 4 years old, spayed and has a full, medium-care coat and bright gold eyes. Pumpkin is a delightful little girl and is probably around 7 pounds. She came from a home where she was well cared for and loved but small children in the family made her life unbearable and her people felt she would do better in a different environment. Pumpkin is mild-mannered, sweet-natured and loves to be brushed and combed! She is playful, likes to be picked up and is great with other pets. She would probably be ok with older, respectful children. The best home for her would be familiar with the maintenance needs of Persians/Himalayans or other long-haired breeds. BEING FOSTERED IN KENOSHA, WI.
