These are old pics from 2000. Meet my mama kitty Cricket (turkish angora) and her baby Bandit.
Bandit was the sole survivor in my neighbors garage ~ back when I lived in Milwaukee. The rest of the babies were dead in the wall and the neighbor not being a smart man had killed the mama.
Knowing I was moving to Rome he gave me the baby. Cricket to him right away as one of her kittens. She would give him a bath
He would respect how much bigger he was then his sibblings by nursing from behind his mama and up over the top so his brothers and sisters all had room for meals. (look close and you can see Bandit's tail at Crickets back)
Bandit loved moving from the busy city out to Rome where he could become a raccoon. He loved to play outside with his siblings.
As Bandit grew he spent more and more time away from the house. One one occassion the neighbor said to me "Your raccoon was visiting my deck last night" I paused for a bit and then said "How do you know it was MY raccoon?" He said "Because it had cats with it" LOL yes that would have been Bandit
One night as a teen Bandit decided to break into the upstairs bedroom window.
He did eventually go live out back in the woods with the other coons. I saw him from time to time as the years went on.
I didn't see him at all this past summer. Wonder if I'll see him this year.
