I used to have a polydactl cat. 8 toes on one front paw, 7 on the other front paw and 6 on each back paw.

The trait for polydact comes from a dominant gene, and only a polydactyl cat can parent another polydact.

Yes I did know that. I looked up in the Guniess Book, I think ~ if I remember correctly the record is of a cat with 38 toes.

38 toes? That means 38 claws! lol Can you imagine all the scratching posts that cat could do damage on in a year! lol lol

a few more interesting facts on cats:

Cats rarely meow at other cats.

Groups of kittens are “kindles,” while groups of adult cats are “clowders.”

this may explain their intense affection for whole milk...fresh from the cow.

this is a famous photo of cats on the farm. Even though most people believe that cats and milk go together, it really is not good to feed cats milk. Many cats will suffer digestive problems from drinking milk.
