I just read an article that I thought was really great for our 'pet' friends safety. In Waukesha, Wisconsin firefighters will now have a new rescue tool that is designed to give pets a chance after being exposed to smoke inhalation.
This tool is in a form of an oxygen mask that comes in three sizes to fit snugly over the animal's nose which will enable them to receive the much needed oxygen better.
Apparently a Company called Best Friends Pet Care kennel company distributed over 2,500 sets of these special masks. The company decided to start a match-donation campaign to buy the masks after hearing how firefighters are so frustrated in watching pets die with no way to help them.
Wouldn't it be great if every fire department in our cities had this extra exquipment to use when they need it? What a wonderful idea
