Join us at the Kaytee Learning Center this Sat. June 19 for the Minnestoa Zoo Mobile. They have a wide range of wildlife including owls, boas, opossums and much more. Also holding Hamsters races (sign up ahead of time)!

KAYTEE Fun with Feathered and Furry Friends!

The Kaytee Learning Center is open to the public! It’s open the first Friday and Saturday of each month (except July) from 10:00-4:00!

Admission is Free!!

Come and enjoy the 5,000 square foot center with a focus on family fun with exhibits and interactive opportunities such as:
· Displays of more than 50 live birds and small animals, from parrots, parakeets and cockatiels to rabbits and chinchillas.
· Access the Free Flight Sanctuary, an aviary which allows visitors to observe exotic birds up close and in a simulated natural environment.
· Costumes and mask-making station for youngsters who want to get into the spirit of things by dressing up as a parrot, wild bird or bunny!
· Interactive displays that show the foods and habitats preferred by various small pets, wild and pet birds.
· An educational display on the Kaytee Avian Foundation and the 18,000 acre reserve in Brazil that the Kaytee Avian Foundation helped purchase preserving the habitat of Hyacinth Macaws and many other endangered animals.
· Find out your wingspan! Are you an eagle, macaw or cardinal???
· There is always a fun, educational project that you can participate in…from making a bird toy for one of the many exotic birds that call the Learning Center home to a window cling or pine cone bird feeder! You never know what you might find to do at the Kaytee Learning Center!
