Includes snowshoe rental.

We'll teach you how to use snowshoes.

Hikes can last 1 to 2 hours and travel through field and forest.

Dress for the weather.

Wear winter boots.

Snowshoe and XC-Ski Rental

Now through Saturday, February 28, 2009

Snowshoes and cross-country skis are available for individual day-use rental inside Ledge View Park when snowcover is adequate

No prior experience necessary for snowshoeing; staff will teach use

Call ahead for snow conditions and to make sure staff will be present to do the rental

Cross-country ski trails are groomed after major snowfalls

Limited number of skis and boots for rent within the park, adult sizes 4-11

$5 per pair/snowshoes, $6 per set/skis

Cave Tour

Naturalist-guided tour. Learn the geology, biology, and human history of the caves

Opportunities for exploring provided

Wear layers and plan on getting dirty

Bring a flashlight

Caves accessed by stairs and ladders

Minimum 5 years old with parent; minors must be accompanied by supervising adult

$5 per person
