I wouldn't say it happens only in India. There are plenty of people that do menial jobs and work hard in this country. I know I did my share working in factories. No, I didn't like the job, but I always worked hard because that's just the way I raised. There were plenty of times when I did the work of 2 or 3 people. I've done things that I wasn't even asked to do, just because I saw that it needed to be done.
It doesn't mean this is what I want to do my whole life or that I'd even want to do any of this again. I've done my share. Time for the young pups to take their turn working the crap jobs. Now I want something more from a job. It makes for a much happier person if you enjoy what you do. Some jobs just can't be made enjoyable no matter what they are. That is why I work on improving my skills.
