Congratulations! Whatever kind of place gave you that order...go after many more like them!
The photo ideas given above are good. Get before and after shots. Especially with people in them (get photo releases) looking bored before and fascinated and relaxed after.
I was also going to suggest restaurants and dentist offices... chiropractors, hospitals, etc... When you call focus on selling the point that they get the opportunity for free... all they have to do is plug it in and feed them (if that is even necessary)... I think a lot of places would LOVE that opportunity!! I also was going to suggest any places where kids go simply because that is why we have fish, a turtle, and a dog!! Now, our kids talk NON-STOP about rabbits... We have adopted the one who ruins my garden instead.
Maybe another way to get the word out is to talk to classes at schools... Pass out your brochures and the kids will certainly show Mom and Dad!!!
Maybe Foster and Smith needs another supplier?? They are an internet based pet store out of Rhinelander... awesome place!!
The Kalahari in the Dells always has some type of animal on display... That could be another idea...
Good luck to you! When you make your calls remember you are helping people as much as they would be helping you!!
We do a little of everything - tv, newspaper, radio, online...
Just started Facebook and text message marketing - good so far.
We also hired a freelancer to help with online marketing. She's on here, Fletcher Freelance.
If you're using text message marketing, you may want to combine the use of QR codes with that concept, if you haven't already.. you can make a QR sms code, place it virtually anywhere (signs, sticks, even t-shirts), then when someone scans it into their smart phone, it will automatically call your mobile phone and voila, another person added to your mobile sms database..
And Facebook is fine but getting "likes" can be a daunting task.. I prefer Twitter.. easier to target and often I will see immediate results if I "tweet" a link..

Nice to see such motivated people on here. Just wanted to say, "Facebook is free!" Email marketing can be very cost effective as well. You can get a service for as little as $10-15/month. And the ROI is usually very good.
If you have a Wordpress blog there are quite a few free plugins that will allow you to capture emails and produce and distribute your own newsletters (even automatically).. check out WebLoggers WebLogging Forum for more info!

Have a clear objective in your communications. Only highlight one service/product at a time. And try Facebook. It has been great for my business. This site is great, too.
Some good tips.. nice to see businesses getting more involved online these days..
