Primary Caretaker of an non-verbal autistic adult looking formal training

My name is Christopher, I am the primary in-home caretaker for a 20 year old non-verbal autistic adult. I love every aspect of my job. I am paid very well also. However I am not "educated in the field of autism". I have taken some free online classes through the autism society of america and one of their affiliates who provide online classes free to educators. I have searched everywhere to find a program that is specific to my profession and the only programs that seem to cover the info and training are post-bachelor's degree programs.

If anyone has any idea where in Wisconsin or online i can get certified and a caretaker for people with autism. Or a program 6 months to 2 years to become an autism specialist, occupational therapist, or any caretaker certification (not CNA) or anything that is specific to working with people who have autism. Any information would be very gratefully appreciated.

I have a great job but in today's world without proper certification or some type of formal training it will be a challenge to find another job doing what i am doing.

The above is training in Wisconsin. Even if you are not a schoolteacher I bet you could get in on this. Haven't researched it myself, but do understand where you are coming from on getting certs.

I was a licensed caregiver for a 14 yr. old severely autistic non verbal boy and it was very rewarding. He improved so much - did you know some people can actually no longer be considered autistic? It takes time and patience but it does work. My 16 yr. old nephew is proof.
