Six Flags Great America Site rules!

Okay, so it's not Wisconsin, strictly speaking...but I'd venture that a third of the visitors are from Wisconsin.

If you want the full skinny on fun at Six Flags, Great America in Gurnee, Illinois (yes, the Bears still suck), then head over to Mike Weinand's http://sfgamnews.com/!

From the home page:

This site was created in July of 2003 and officially made its debut as Six Flags Great America News on August 1, 2003. The site has grown to include many features including Videos, Coaster Tracker, Forums, Pictures, and much more. We are dedicated to bring you up to date news and tons of information about Six Flags Great America located in Gurnee, IL. Summer of 2004 we expanded and brought tons of new and unique features, and our one year aniversary was celebrated with new forums. June of 2005 marked the merger of SFGAmNews and SFGAmPlanet

Mike is on the staff here at theBubbler.com

Enjoy!

Regards,
Keith

I think the best time to go is during Frieght Fest in October, all the rides are open except the water and each individual section has its own halloween theme!

Good topic, I think everyone in WI has Six Flags memories. My favorite- we told my great aunt to wait by a marching band while we went on a ride. The band started playing, and marching! She started following the band! Luckily they were both slow moving and we found her.

I also got stuck on the Eagle and Iron Wolf, but not for too long on either one.

I haven't been to Six Flags in over 10 years. What rides are (and are not) there anymore? I know Shock Wave got taken down a while ago.

Cool site.

I was going to add it to the directory, but I think Mike should so it shows on his profile not mine...

I haven't been to Six Flags since I was about nine. I'm not much for coasters, though; loose vertebra plus roller coaster equals being rolled out of the park on a stretcher by paramedics (or at least it did at Cedar Point). I recall there was lots of fun stuff for little kids when I was there, but that was over twenty years ago. Is there still a looney tunes kids area?
