Among other things, we discovered the Lost Mosquito Kingdom and got very very wet on the Dells Jet Boats.

We stayed at Dells Timberland Camping Resort and I would recommend them to anyone heading to the Dells to camp (and I am not just saying that because I did their website!)

I'd also recommend the Original Experience Dells Jet Boats, but remember to wear clothes you don't mind being soaked in! (Yeah, ok, I designed their website too. So what? It was a lot of fun!)

If anyone manages to get past the great Mosquito Holy Place at Rocky Point (see the pic gallery for the story), let me know what's beyond it! One of these days I'll rig up some kind of netting that will let me follow that trail further in without choking on them!

I'd also recommend both the IHOP and Paul Bunyan's for breakfast. Both were excellent with outstanding service. The Starbucks, however, burns their coffee.

I understand Keith had some disposable cameras floating around that weekend too. Keith? Got any pics to add?

Highlights of my Dells weekend were:

- LeRoy Butler shooing a bee away from me. What a nice guy! His chili cookoff and auction at Dells TimberLand Camping Resort raised a bunch for breast cancer research.

- Al, Kathy and the staff at Dells TimberLand Camping Resort for making camping such a breeze!

- The Cheese Factory Restaurant. I always eat here when I am in the Dells. They have the best vegetarian food I've ever had! Their food is decadent and very friendly for meat eaters, too!

- HH Bennett Studio & History Center. The Bennett museum is a fascinating way to see how the Dells looked over a hundred years ago. I highly recommend the studio for anyone looking to learn about the "real" Dells. The gift shop had a good selection of Wisconsin history books.

- The Original Dells Experience Jet Boats. Best Dells boat tour, hands down! I think Captian Rudy tried to get us extra soaked because I wussed out and wore a poncho! I love getting up close to Dells landmarks and learning about them, this tour provides the best way to do it.

- Burger King, Lake Delton. I have never been to such a clean, friendly Burger King! It was like going to Burger King in an alternate universe, it was that good!

- Aunt Jenny's Got It All Shop. Souvenirs purchased include a pirate windsock and child's spoon/fork set that say, "I Love Food!"
