Garage Sales and Flea Markets

How else enjoys garage sales, yard sales, flea markets and other similar things?

This past weekend, I went to some in my area. I didn't buy anything, but I did pick up some things at a "free sale". It was late in the afternoon, and the people running the garage sale said everything was free. There was lots of things left, but I didn't need much of it. I picked up some kitchen items and a puzzle.

I use to go to the flea market in Princeton, Wisconsin... they always had some things I wanted for great prices.

I live for yard sales and rummaging! I'm a weekly visitor to Goodwill and love driving around on weekends to stop at rummages. I collect pre-1960's home decor, furniture, religious artifacts, albums, clothing and accessories. Most of my house is furnished with other people's junk. I also keep an eye out for old furniture to reupholster.

I am a junk lover all the way. If only I had the time, I would go every weekend. I find an interest in bowls of clay or pottery, tools, clothes, and I even found my bike at a rummage sale. It is something of the sort that Wally Cleaver would have had. Hehehehe. I love it, and spend more money on old stuff rather than new.
