Reality television Good or Bad?

Has anyone ever seen the movie running man?? I take a look at the direction of reality t.v. and I can actually believe that sooner rather than later someone might try to use human crisis to sell ratings!!!!

This really makes me sick. My wife always asks me why when survivor, american idol or anything of that nature comes on I find a project to work on. And I tell her that if my life has become so miserable that I have to live through someone else... what is the point in really living.

There are some many things for us to do people!!! lets get up off of the couch and let the T.V. execs know that we won't stand for this garbage anymore! 8)

I can't stand nor do I watch any reality TV. Because I don't watch, it doesn't bother me. I'd rather watch "Cheers" re-runs. But I think anyone who believes reality TV is reality, isn't living in reality.

ive already tryed to do this. i disconnected cable years ago, and basically gave up on tv all together. the way i see it , if i really want to watch trash i know where to go get it. i dont need to pay monthly to have it piped into my house. i also blocked fox out for along time. its unblocked now, but if they start with their trash again its getting blocked again.( kids and wife watch tv alittle)
up till a few years ago i would get these calls from a tv ratings service, and they would ask all kinds of questions about this show or that show. i kept telling them i dont watch their shows because its all trash. when they pushed for a exceptable answer i would just tell them that it sounded like a show from usa up all night ,they finally quit calling me. i wonder why?

Some reality shows are entertaining, while most others are just repititive and need to go (but won't because too many people: (mainly teens I bet) are too addicted).


I enjoy Amazing Race, American Inventor and a few others.

I don't think that most people believe it is reality. Maybe they ought to call it "mostly unscripted tv" or "we want you to believe it's reality tv".I enjoy a lot of it - I need the mindless entertainment. It doesn't really matter if you miss an episode and you really don't have to pay close attention so it doesn't matter if you sleep through most of it!

I'm a reality show junkie.. most of the tv I watch revolves around these shows: American Pickers, Billy the Extwerminator, Survivor, Amazing Race.. love them all!
