What if.........
What if you could only have one hobby/sport to do in your life? What would you choose for your choice and why?
I would have to go with fishing because its so peaceful, relaxing, and a rush all in one. One minute you're watching eagles soar high above...the next minute you're reeling in a fighting fish......ahhhhhhhhhhhh yes, life is good

I couldn't deal with doing the same thing all the time.
I don't think I could bring that down to even, say, five things. Ten, maybe, but I'd still end up depressed and stir crazy if I was that limited. I suppose I could bring it down to four _categories_ of activity: creative, educational, activist, and/or involving-nature... but I'm not sure I could really stay within that for long.

I know it was a hard question Crys, thats why i was asking it. So many choices in life but if you were told to pick only 1 thing to do what would it be? I guess it all depends on the love of the hobby / sport you have for it. I was fishing since i was 4 years old with a cane pole next to my grandfathers side...fishing is in my blood and i will never stop doing it. Even if i had no arms, id still find a way to do it.

I have to agree with you greenbean2. I love nothing better when I'm on vacation to go down the road, jump in the boat (which I'm lucky enough to have docked all summer) and toss the line. I'll float the river with the attitude that life is good and I don't care if I catch a thing. Then the pole jerks, the drag squeals the water swirls.... You know the rest.

re; what if
Well you know this answer.
I would pick rafting. I could raft from May to December if I could.
I enjoy the outdoors and the scenery as I go.

Something I don't do now
If I only had one...that's tough because I like so many things.
Reading would have to be number one. But since reading is fundamental like breathing, I get to pick a real hobby. I'm tempted to say internet...surfing, social networking and all that. Don't know what I'd do without it.
Nevertheless, if I had only one hobby I think it would be one that I don't do now. Music. Where else can you get variety (instruments, sounds), fun, intensity, communication... 'cept maybe the web. What a talent to have. That's a language I'd like to know.
Regards,
Keith

I'd just go about my day with my camera, taking photos of whatever, and play some freestyle harmonica.
