It's been a while since I brought this up so is there anyone that would like to tell us about their log in name they use here?
Just wondering, do you join up on other forums? If so, do you use the same log in name there as you do here? If not, what are some of the log in names you use and why?
Just noticed that I haven't bumped this up since the beginning of August so will do so again in case we have a new member that would like to share with us.
Also wondering how many use the same login everywhere.. I know I don't.. I started online with dgridley, but it's no longer my primary login name.. hasn't been for years.

I use a different log in name and different password on each of the sites I'm a member of. Some times I forget and type in the wrong one somewhere and then wonder why I can't get access.
Just bringing this back up to make sure any of our new members have a chance to check this out and perhaps share their stories about the user names they use.
OK...I guess it's my turn to explain how I chose this nickname, LOL.
<Clears throat and begins....>
I'd been going through some heavy life changes (divorce, death of family members, and so much more...) and was in the process of evaluation and self-examination, trying to come to grips with all that occurred, and also discovering what lay within my own heart and soul. I needed to free myself from thoughts and behaviors that had kept me in fear for a long time. Have you heard of the "fight or flight" dilemma? Well, that's what I was facing.
During this process, some of the women of Afghanistan had decided to shed their burkhas and run to the border for freedom. They too were faced with a decision to fight or fly. I could clearly identify with their struggles, and so I decided the name Lifted Veil was fitting for me. The veil that had covered my eyes for so long was finally being removed.
However, after trying out that nickname on some online boards and chatrooms, I discovered that it was causing me to gain some attention that I did not appreciate. I was bombarded with questions... i.e. "Are you a former nun?" "What's under the veil?" "Were you a Muslim?"
I knew I had to change the nickname somehow. Being interested in spiurituality and the cosmos, I added "Cosmic", making it Cosmic Lifted Veil. That seemed to help a bit, LOL. People began asking why I was "Cosmic". Wheeeeeeee.
Some called me "Cos", some referred to me as Veil, and those who were fond of me called me Veilie. And that's how it all came to be. And now you know.

I totally love reading people's responses on this thread but yours...
Wow! Oh...Wow! I could so identify with you on many levels that your story was most interesting to me. I thank you for sharing with us.

Thank you, pk. I enjoyed going through the stories too, and hesitated to post mine...I really wished I had a simple or humorous reason for choosing my nick, LOL.
I use a couple of factors. One, what is the username for. But generally, I create usernames from something I really liked in a book or other storyline.
