With all these newer members coming by i thought i would bump this up so others can add to it. Its always interesting to see how we come up with our handles.

Yes...great idea (again) greenbean. This is really a fun section. I know I always enjoy reading about member's names.

http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:...my_name_is.gif- Love hearing how people come up with their log in names so I thought I would push this back up to the top for new members to take notice and perhaps share how they came up with their 'names'.

Speaking of log names, I know a guy who lives in Baraboo on a hill. His house is a custom built log home. In the living room the ceiling is 2 stories high and the the support beams are exposed, the two huge honkin' logs have carved names .
Lewis
and
Clark
I added this after I look at the entire thread and did not find my log name explanation. I thought I posted it.
Back in the early 90's when I thought it cool to have a custom license plate , I had the plate 10asen which is an alpha-numeric-phonetic way to to pronounce my last name. The first time I needed to make a logon name to a computer I added the j to make it j10asen.
Now you know the rest of the story

I recall seeing your explanation of the cryptic login name, somewhere...maybe I astrial traveled to the future, or "Remote Viewed" your posting, before you posted it...spooky!

You are not alone....I thought I read this before also. Are you sure it's not on here somewhere?
http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:...mputergirl.gif But that's ok, there was a couple of times just lately that I was sure I posted a comment only to see nothing there that I wrote...I scanned all the posts in the forum that I noticed the post missing and it's not there...I would look high and low in other areas only not to find it...so I'm thinking maybe it's me? Am I posting so much that I'm dreaming I post things? lol lol
So now I finally have some proof that maybe some posts got pulled or lost by mistake somehow?
just wondering.

I like to bring this back up from time to time hoping people will take notice and comment.
Its always fun to read how people decide on their 'log in names' and here is a great place to post your story.

...then I posted a couple comments, and started a thread about the planned Sheboygan Spaceport, and I became "SpaceBrain"
I can handle it.

Nothing special here my first name is Jimmy so I shortened it to Jimi and added W which is the first letter of my last name.

Thanks Jimi for adding how you decided on your name for the forums. I always enjoy reading how people come up with the names they use.
Like I said before 'pk' isn't to unusual either a friend of mine signed me up to his website one time and he just used my first and last name...'p,k' and it's been mine ever since on all the different sites I spend time on. lol
Not to creative but it works.

I agree it's simple but it works. I used to use 1dahunter the da stood for disabled but then I got on some other forums that had that user name taken so I like it simple cause its so easy to remember. Thanks Jimi

Yep. You did that back in the 60's!
Hey, you're too funny, MrKhay!
That's three belly laughs today.
Thanks.

Keith
p.s.: by the way, I'm a Paul Harvey fan, too. When I was a kid working with my Dad on Saturdays he would time our lunch break for the Paul Harvey radio show. Makes me think of having a sandwich and coffee in my Dad's truck cab. Kool.

Thank you!
As a cigar-smoking, coffee swilling, beer drinker with dragon mouth, I had to wonder.
