Question Future Adults

Maybe I'm just having bad luck but when I look at today's "future adults", I can't imagine we'll have much to look forward to in 30 years or so.. who will be our next crop of doctors? Scientists?

Who will be president in 2040?

Re: Future Adults

I think every generation has had this view about the coming generation. I mean, the flappers that were looked down on in the 20s led our country through a war in the 40s. In the 60s, it was the hippies. And they became presidents, CEOs, everything.

In a country that all of our recent presidents have admitted to smoking pot, the future adults we have now will their own generation to look down on and worry about the future of our country.

Re: Future Adults

Hopefully you're right.. but I'm not so sure. Even the Tootsie Roll Pops I loved as a kid have changed for the worse

Guess it depends on where you look, and I do know what you mean. There are times I just shake my head with worry for our future. But then I look at the great kids that just graduated from my daughter's class last Spring and they are so awesome. My worries fade away and I have hope. Let's just pray there is enough of these 'awesome' kids to help make our future better for everyone.

Re: Future Adults

Me too, PK.. of course these last few years I've been surrounded by kids who probably never had a real chance or the proper upbringing..
