We seem to love to talk about food alot on the different fourms here but I realized that we seem to not talk about Chinese Food much. So, here's the questions I was wondering:
What do you order when you eat Chinese food?
Do you perfer to eat in, carry out, or eat at an 'all you can eat buffet'?
Do you consider the all you can eat, REAL Chinese Food?
When I order take out from a Chinese restaurant, I usually get sweet and sour chicken or cashew chicken. When we eat at the Chinese buffet, my favorite is General Tsao's chicken on top of those Chinese noodles...I can never remember what they're called so I call them Chinese spaghetti.
There are three Chinese restaurants within 20 miles of us. They all are pretty good but the buffet in Reedsburg has the most variety of foods plus they have a special section with stuff for kids and some American food as well.
The only Chinese food I make at home is sweet and sour chicken. My sister gave me a recipe for the sauce that is absolutely delicious! I have never found a sweet and sour sauce that I like in the stores. Home made is much better anyhow.
As far as the fortune cookie messages...oddly, most of the time it seems to tie in with the current situation or events going on in my life.

It's been a long time since I had 'real' Chinese food from a restaurant. I say 'real' since I have a hard time thinking of a Chinese buffet commercial place as the 'real' stuff.
When I do order out I love Sweet and Sour Chicken, ham fried rice or chicken, chicken or shrimp low mein, and I love the almond cookies!
I can cook Chinese dishes.
A little plug ( hope it's ok )
Next time ya pass through Ashland Wi stop at the New China Restaurant at 300 Lake Shore Drive West and tell Tony Ken sent ya
Awesome food and friendly staff plus a great view of Lake Superior.

I'd love to be there right now eating some good Chinese food. Great view of Lake Superior sounds really nice too.
My favorite Chinese place is Yen Ching on 76th and Good Hope. Ming's Beef - awesome.
Another favorite is Pacific Bistro on Hwy 83 and I-94. Not REALLY Chinese, because they have both Chinese and Japanese, but they have a VERY good orange chicken.
I also like egg rolls with mustard sauce, and crab rangoon. Really anything BUT sweet/sour or the white sauce.

Even though the Chinese Restaurant is known to be a lair for Chinese Spies, I like to go in and act suspicious. You usually get better service.
My favorite is "The China Wyk" on Superior Ave. in Sheboygan. You'll find all the familiar favorites. They have a buffet, along with the large menu that can be ordered off of.
My favorite is the Lemon Chicken. General Tso works his magic on his chicken, as well. You'll find the typical condiments and appetizers on hand. I enjoy the shrimp egg rolls, and the variety of rangoons.
Most of the time, I go with the "All You Can Eat" route, and end up going through the buffet line 4 or 5 times.

I will end up going a few times since I try not to put a lot on my plate at once. I rather eat a little of each and have room for lots of items then eat a lot of some and not be able to sample anything more because I'm to full.
Anyone try the coconut chicken? I love it but I always end up wishing I didn't eat it as it seems to do something to my stomach afterwards. But it's so good going down.
Actually alot of it sounds good. To bad someone doesn't open a place around here for Chinese breakfast where you can go in and sit, sip tea, and enjoy your company and the treats.
