Donations are all well and good and appreciated, I'm sure, but at least start with the essentials ..

On the other hand, my neighbor called to arrange to donate bottled water and she was told they had plenty and to send money..

I hate donating money because so much goes to administration and so little to the people or things really needed..

Totally agree. Or at least wait before sending it until it's needed again. I'm sure it will be of great use as soon as they get back up and running.

Which is one thing I was explaining to my neighbor.. rebuild the school or hospital but there are additional expenses to replace and recover everything that was in the school and hospital..

One benefit is they will have a fresh start and new building..
