I don't know how other's feel but it's funny how I can add something to FB that I'm sure will get responses, and no one seems to notice and then I can put on some simply thing and get a ton of replies. Weird.
I seem to have that problem and wonder if anyone reads what others say. I try to comment on other people's statuses as much as possible to show that I'm interested in them. Too bad they don't do the same. It seems too often that people are just too into themselves. Kind of like in real life, huh?
I try to post things that I find that are interesting, but then I get no one commenting on it.
The other day I posted something on someone's wall that I thought they would find funny and have fun with it, but then they deleted it. Now I have to wonder it they were mad about it. I'm not sure why any normal person would be. Some people need to lighten up sometimes.
I feel the same way! I post for the business I work for and sometimes I come up with a great idea that I know EVERYONE will want to talk about- then no response. The next day I'll just post something randomly last minute and then it becomes really popular...weird!
It is also worth mentioning that the default settings for the Facebook newsfeed is "Top News". Posts with lots of replies will show up more than posts with few replies, so if someone replies to your post, reply again, (your replies count toward the total). This should make your posts appear in the Top News more often, giving more people a chance to see your post and reply.
If you want to see everyone's posts regardless of how popular they are, click on "Most Recent".
Top News kind of feels like highschool- the popular people get all of the attention!
That's a good point, plus worth mentioning is Facebook filters your search results and feeds according to your interests.. so, if you tend to click on certain posts of feeds more often, those are the ones that will show up on your Wall so you may not see some people's posts unless you go to their profile.
And some people rarely go to their own Profiles (I don't) so may not be aware if someone has posted there unless they pay attention to their alerts.
I generally post to Facebook via a bookmarklet.. when I go to Facebook, I take a look thru the Wall to see if there's anything interesting but I rarely check my Profile directly.
Seldom do I get any response to my posts (which people can "hide" without unfriending you)... about the only time I get a reply is if I'm replying to someone else's post.

Yes, I end up on Wheel of Fortune and checking out posts, and then doing the photo contest and ... yes, I try to keep up with your posts Carol and then Kelly68 too. Next thing I know I have neglected the bubbler!! I much perfer to be here but there is always something to be said about keeping up with family/friends actitivites too. I just don't have the time to do all of that.
For some reason I just can't get interested enough to play games on Facebook.. maybe because I hate being bombarded with game updates from all my friends who also play the game.
