The poll question should read

Should illegal immigrants be allowed to stay in the U.S. if they admit breaking the law, register with authorities, pay taxes, pay a fine, and learn English?

I've seen that poll before, but I have a hard time believing those numbers. I know a lot of Americans are against amnesty. Do a search on Reagan's amnesty in 1986. Are we any better off today because of it? No, it turned a trickle into a flood of illegals. I don't know how accurate those online polls are since it depends on where the links get posted and sometimes you can vote multiple time just by refreshing.

I belong to a couple of illegal immigration groups online and I've seen a lot of interesting videos and articles. I don't know who voted yes from the bubbler but you need to do more research. Do you think they are going to pay taxes and a fine after having a free ride for so long? Many illegals don't want to become citizens, but just have all the benefits of this country while remaining loyal to theirs.

We really need to focus on getting Americans employed right now and stop worrying about providing for others. Illegals often take jobs away from minorities, especially black males as well as teens and college students. Those groups aren't the only one affected, but they are the ones that suffer the most. Right now we have millions of Americans out of work or underemployed. We need to enforce laws against employers to hire illegals, because it's a huge myth that illegals do the jobs that Americans won't do. They do the jobs that Americans used to do. I know I've done my share of crappy jobs. Let's think about Americans first!

Amnesty won't benefit anybody but the illegals. It won't benefit me, so why would I want it?

Not everyone that comes here is entitled to be here. I want things too, but I'm not getting those. We owe these other countries NOTHING.

Here's something to think about. If we grant these people amnesty, do you really think employers are going to stop hiring more illegals for cheap labor? No, they will keep bringing more illegals into the country. They should change the spelling to amnasty, because it's a nasty little word.
