I've never been overseas but I would like to some day. I have always dreamed about going to England and Ireland to visit where my ancestors came from. I would also like to go to Hawaii or the Bahamas and walk barefoot on the beaches. Maybe some day...
Germany (military), Spain, England, Viet Nam (definitely not vacation), Hong Kong (neat while British), Japan, most of the caribbean, Costa Rica (neat place)Panama (scary), Venezuela (yuck) ...
Coolest thing: Night swimming in a phosphorescent bay in Vieques, PR, close second, volcano tour in Hawaii.
Weirdest thing: Riding dugout canoe in ocean to visit Cuna Indians off east coast of Panama; second, watching for sea turtles at midnight in Mexico.
Technical question: Are Mexico, Canada and Hawaii overseas?

You've been everywhere man You've been everywhere......
wow I have been to England mainly London and I would return but it is so darn costly...
I also have been to Hawaii and if I had "the coin" I'd cross any sea to return there. visit there if you can.
Your question made me think. I am guessing the term "over seas" came from a time when transcontinental travel was accomplished via ship over water. But then if your travel had you for example take route over the "Dead Sea" and your destination maybe considered over seas but then maybe you have to cross two sea to fullfil the requirement"Over Seas"
To sum it up some people cosider travel to England "Over Seas" yet from the US there are no seas to cross, just the Atlantic Ocean.
But then if you do not cross a sea how do people get sea sick?
I used to travel from Fish Creek to Chambers Island in Green Bay, once in a while a person would get sea sick but we were in a Bay not a sea. How does that work?

....Now, a very great man once said
That some people rob you with a fountain pen
It didn’t take too long to find out
Just what he was talkin’ about
A lot of people don’t have much food on their table
But they got a lot of forks ’n’ knives
And they gotta cut somethin’....

I would love to visit Japan and Hong Kong one day.. doubt it will ever happen.
I have often wondered if China has many American,Itallian,French,German or Mexican take out resturants.
I think I need to do some research. Would anyone out there care to fund my project? I would be happy to give you all the credit in my report.

Does going to the Bahamas on a cruise count as overseas? Probably not. Other than going all over the United States, I've only been to Canada and the Bahamas.
I'd like to go to Australia and New Zealand. I doubt that will ever happen.
We also had a wonderful time in Toronto. We found a really good place for dinner, an all you can eat Italian Place. Can't remember the name right now but it was so good we passed up all others and went back there again the next night. Beautiful city from the motel window at night, lights everywhere. But driving is another story. I was riding not driving so it was my job to follow the map which I may say I normally do quite well, but it was worse than trying to get around Chicago by far. At one point we just kept going around and around in one section and could not get out of it. lol Not fun. Other than that the place is amazing too.
I've actually only been to Toronto once.. went for a film festival, spent the night in a loft owned by a B-movie director. Have been to Niagara Falls many times in the past.. one thing you immediately notice (or I did) between the American and Canadian sides is the Canadian side seemed much cleaner, virtually no litter!
