I think a lot of people who would like to visit Wisconsin, need a litle extra bit of help getting invited here to vacation. I looked at several tourist publications and I thought they were so general and blah, someone should put together something with a little more news and creativity. One published article only listed the major events, but I have been to several small festivals here in Wisconsin that I had a blast at. I think people would prefer smaller home town events than blown out populated festivals. For one, the price of a small town festival is more family friendly, than say Milwaukee's festivals. Who can really afford drink prices of $5.00 a cup, where in a small town fest, you could get the whole family a drink for the same price. So the meat of this article, is that people should have a place to put their own home town festival, so people looking for a small family friendly know what to do and where to go. Thanks

I agree totally. I love the off the beaten path places, and the small quaint family owned restaurants, the small town art shows, etc. Before the Internet it was more word of mouth, or reading newspapers to find out things. So glad now we have google or even our very own Bubbler to discover things to do.

Hopefully the tourist will also research before coming to Wisconsin and find out about the Bubbler or other websites that offer cool places to stop and check out.

And no one can give a "guided tour" better than a local.. Visitor Centers have to paint everything in a positive light, a local won't generally steer you wrong.
