You didn't make him eat green bean casserole, did you? LOL I don't care for that. I think there needs to be more jokes about green bean casserole like there is with fruit cake.

I actually like green bean casserole
Green Bean Casserole is actually something everyone mentions they want to have. Maybe we just make it different or something but it is good. I laugh at the fact that I dislike onions and cream of mushroom soup but both are put into the green bean casserole and I like eating it..go figure.

Not in my family or my husband's family. Although I did see my SIL make it once and it was all watery. That's why I say she made it once...nobody ate it.

The one I'm talking about has 3 ingredients: cream of mushroom soup, beans and French's onions. ick!
I've heard quite a few wisecracks about green bean casserole from people which is why I wonder if there are any jokes for it like they have for fruitcake. Maybe I need to make some up.
My whole family (my mom, siblings and their kids) are coming to my house for dinner on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. There should be around 30 people here plus I always take a couple plates of food over to the elderly neighbor's who live across the street.
Our menu includes: 30 lbs. of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes & home made gravy, sweet potatoes, sweet corn, deviled eggs, veggie tray and dip, cheese spread and crackers, venison sausage, baked beans, pickles, olives, cranberries, several kinds of cheese, white bark pretzels, chocolate peanut clusters, peanut butter bars, strawberry cheese cake, chocolate and banana pudding pies, apple, cherry, and pumpkin pies...with the last three being made by my mom. She makes the BEST home made pie crust!
For refreshments, I will be serving Fruit punch, Miller Lite and of course, Apple Pie drinks.
Just curious.. how much do you think all that will cost? My buddy's landlord was planning to spend $300 on 8 people.. that sounded excessive to me..
