Please no "my sister's boyfriend's Aunt's best friend's dog walker's milkman knew a guy who was related to another guy whose mother's ex-husband saw Satan in a dress!"
Story one: This happened when I was about 19. Two friends and I were walking through a neighborhood in the town of Waukesha off of Sunset. It was very foggy, but didn't extend to far up over our heads. We came upon a small cemetary in the subdivision. One friend ran ahead while my other friend and I stopped at a relatively new grave.
As soon as we stopped, I felt an odd "electric" feeling in my chest and around my head - hard to explain, but it didn't quite feel like it was physically inside me. We both stood there at the foot of the grave staring. My other friend who had ran ahead later stated that he look back at us and we both were staring blankly at the grave.
After a few minutes, the feeling completely left. Not more than 1 second later the friend who was next to me said "Woah. Did you feel that?" That was the first thing either of us had said since stepping foot into the cemetary, so he felt the exact same thing at the exact same time.
Story 2: This one happened when I was about 26 and newly married. My wife and I lived in som apartments in Pewaukee (off of Green Rd). We had one of those split bathrooms with a door separating the sink from the rest. I was at the sink, my wife was using the rest. Upon finishing she called me over and told me she saw a large lump appear out of the wall next to the toilet. It then moved up the wall about 2 feet and sunk back in. The walls were plaster and not flexible. She thought maybe it was her eyes playing tricks, but we couldn't see how that could be. The lump was too large and actually moved.
Later that evening my wife was gone and I was home alone. I had not thought of the moving lump since it had happened. Then, out of the corner of my eye I saw a black object fall from the ceiling and heard the slap of magazines on the dining room table (where the objects fell). I looked at the table and saw that there were indeed magazines on the table. They had been there before. But I know I heard the slap and I know I saw something fall.

i don't get it avaya... so you heard and seen something black fall, but walked over to look & there was nothing there? mind tricks?
Yes. It wasn't scary at all. I seem to remember feeling a bit exhilirated.
2 or 3 nights a week I work at my part time job. It's in a large white old building that used to be a house. When I'm there all alone wiht the red exit lights lighting the dark rooms, it gets creepy. Last night I was there and swear I saw some large dark shadow move behind me. Most likely imagination, but it was still scary! I mention that to show that I do get scared by those things, but that cemetary instance didn't for some reason.

No...I heard the sound of magazines falling on the table. There were magazines on the table right where I saw something fall. So I saw and heard the magazines fall from the ceiling and hit the table. But they were already there. I could understand my eyes playing tricks, but my ears too? The magazines just happened to be there, that was not our "magazine spot."

I now live alone, for the first time in my life & i can relate to that... i see shadows from the corner of my eye or feel a small breeze, such as someone walking past me real fast & turn quick to find nothing. Also, at times it will sound like someone is walking down the hall or has closed a door in the back of the apartment & i find nothing.
For some reason the above post posted twice...and since for some reason there is no way to delete your own posts, you get to read this.
LOL too funny.
yeah i don't know why he has it set up to limit how long you can edit or delete your posts, but you can delete it under the 'edit option' for a few minutes after it's posted. Kinda silly IMO considering all other forums (that i'm familiar with) don't restrict you on your own posts.

From the time we moved here, we used to hear footsteps coming down from the upstairs. Our cat even used to go running over to see who it was, but of course there was never anyone there! Another time, I was taking a nap in the recliner in our living room shortly after we moved in and I was awakened by someone shaking me and a woman's voice yelling "I want my baby! Give me back my baby!" but I was the only one home at the time. I told my neighbor about all this and she told me the name of a woman that had died in our bathroom in the '30s so this got me curious. I went to the Register of Deeds and found her death certificate and then looked into finding her other relatives that were buried in the cemetery here. I about freaked when I found out that she had a baby that died at birth!
Have you ever heard that having a blue light is supposed to keep spirits away? Recently a friend of mine got one because her six year old daughter swore there was a ghost in her room and she refused to sleep there. Ever since they put the light in, the little girl says she hasn't seen or heard anything. They have also heard old time music like from the 40's when no one has a radio or tv on. Weird.
I never had any ghostly experiences, but I have friends that have some pretty good stories. I guess I can't tell those stories since the stories of friends aren't allowed.
Not sure if this falls under paranormal activity or not or if I posted it before but here goes.
Right after I graduated from high school, my boyfriend (later my husband) and I went to a Spiritualist camp that over looks the town of Wonewoc and is on a cliff where an old indian camp used to be. Spiritualists, mediums, and psychics come there and spend the summer and you can go and get a "reading". My husband's parents had gone several times in previous years so we thought we would try it too.
When we arrived, we went to the main cabin and only had to wait a few minutes before being sent to separate cabins to see the mediums. This was back in the late '70s and there was no internet yet and no one asked us our names until we were in the cabins and then they just asked for our first name. The woman I met with wanted to hold onto a personal item of mine so I handed her my watch. She then proceeded to explain to me that was how she made contact with my "guardian spirit" who would be the one to tell her things about me. As soon as she contacted this "spirit" she started to tell me things that she couldn't possibly have known about me. She described both of my parents perfectly and even said that I had never seen my mom's red hair since she had dyed it brown ever since before I was born. She told me that I had four sisters and three brothers and that I was now the middle child since one brother had died at an early age. She told me that I was closest to my sister Jenny and that my best friend's name was Shirley! She also told me some very personal things and intimate details about my husband and I that no one knew. By the time she was done, I was actually kind of embarrassed a bit that she knew so much! She also told me a little about my future. She said if I stayed with my current boyfriend, I would have three kids, two boys and a girl. She was right about that too...I have two boys and I had a miscarriage of a girl.
I certainly didn't know what to make of all of this at the time. One person I talked to later said that it was "the work of the devil" and another said that if it didn't scare me then it was probably a good thing. I would like to have gone back and seen the "medium" I saw back then, but I heard that she passed away several years ago. Oh...you can also go there for a seance and other things. Check out their website. I just ran across it:

I would rather not know if someone had ever died in my house, It would spook me, especially now that i live alone and all. If i had been through what you described (the woman waking you) I would never be home alone in that house again... was that a one time thing or have you seen her since that? I'd make some calls & have her removed.. i couldn't handle it.

I've never heard anything about the blue light, however I've heard that having a fire going outside your house will keep spirits away.
I was raised with spiritualists & witch Dr's and such (hot seat thread talks about my history in this subject), i'm very familiar with what they do & have seen a lot of freaky stuff in my life... You would think i'd be fearless of it, but i think seeing that as a child & while growing up around it just freaked me out even more.

I've seen this kind of stuff my whole life, it's freaky stuff to some, but it's all true... Yes you have fakes out there, but the spiritualist i grew up with do exactly as you described on a daily basis. I could recommend one in the Sheboygan area if you are ever there & wish to have a reading, she is very good at what she does.

It's not like I'm going to yell at you if you do!
I just didn't want stories that were so far removed that there was no credibility at all. Please, go ahead and share - I'm not the law maker here.

I will only say this - I do understand that people can do interesting things concerning spirits, etc. I tend to avoid that sort of thing, not because it freaks me out (although it probably would), but because I don't agree with it. That's all I'm saying - feel free to speak of whatever you want to (not that you would stop on my account anyway). I just wanted to add a small part of my 2 cents.

If you read my history in the hot seat thread, you will see that i was raised with it & choose not to associate with it, which is in part why i have issues with some people, family & otherwise.
Though I could recommend one who i believe to be accurate, i stay as far as possible from it all, Make the wrong one mad by doubting them... let's just say it's no joke & not something i want in my life.
As a mother, i wasn't about to let my kids be familiar with the life of witch craft, which is what i believe a lot of it to boil down to & i also don't agree with forcing it on someone else, especailly a child growing up... I could have done without that in my life & wish i had.
