It was crazy and not something i've ever been part of as an adult... i know what you're all thinking & all i can say is.... I know right?!?

Now as an adult, i turn to god not the spirits to get me through lifes trials & have raised my children to do the same.

Wow! I'd be interested in hearing more details. You should write it all down, I'd read it! I've always been interested in paranormal and other stories. I like reading about supossed haunted areas in Wisconsin. Most of the time it's easy to see it as an overactive imagination, but some things are quite creepy!

Maybe we should have a Bubbler field trip to haunted areas in WI. Although I'm not sure I'd actually want to be there!

Most of it i'd love to foget about, honestly. We could definitely chat about it sometime though, you'd be surprised in some of the stuff i've seen before my eyes.

It's weird... I don't fear scary movies or haunted places, unless i am alone & it's dark outside lol but during the day i'm fine, that stems from something that happened to my family, when i was young, i relive it in my mind almost daily.

My kids loved doing haunted houses with me, I am fearless when it comes to stuff like that.

I plan on going to a lecture called "Ghosts, Monsters & Legends" of Wisconsin at the Richland Center campus next Thursday night. Paranormal researcher Todd Roll will be the speaker. For over 20 years he has traveled to unusual places to investigate the paranormal and unusual such as Loch Ness, the Island of Avalon from the King Arthur myth and the Tower of London. He has also written a number of articles on paranormal phenomena for various books, including "Weird Wisconsin" by Richard Hendricks and Linda Godfrey and "Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits and Haunted Places" by Brad Steiger.

During the presentation he plans to discuss reports of local and area ghosts, monsters and legends. There will be a question/answer and discussion time following the presentation. I am really looking forward to attending the lecture.

Maybe you should be the unoffical Bubbler reporter for us and write an "article" on the event. I would be interested in attending if I had the chance.

Re: Ghost Story Thread

Speaking of books...does anyone have either of those books? I wonder if our library might have copies of them. I do have "The Wisconsin Road Guide to Haunted Locations" by Chad Lewis and Terry Fisk. It's quite interesting because it not only gives locations and pictures but also talks about their investigation of the sites. One of which is the La Belle Cemetery in Waukesha County that was a topic in another forum previously on here.

I don't have the books, but have read about several haunted WI places on line. you are sure to find most if not all of what you seek on the www.
