OK, let's face it everyone has an obsessive tendency of some kind. So tell us about the one(s) you have. You know those little quirks you have to do to make everything just great.
Maybe you have to always wipe door knobs before using them, or sleep a certain way, with a certain pillow, or does your money always have to be the same way or you freak about it?
The only other thing I can think of that I do and I'm sure it's the first thing my family would write about me. Wash my hands. I personally don't think I am overly obsessive about it but having to remind my family all the time it sounds like I am. lol
I can't leave a bathroom without washing my hands, have to before I eat anything too. After leaving a store the first thing I do when I get in my car is use my hand sanitizer. I wash my hands before I cook. I will wash my hands after petting an animal that I don't know. I don't bother with my own cat unless I am going to eat. If I have a cold or anyone in the house I totally expect them to wash their hands before they touch anything especially if they are going into the refrigerator. (and spray lysol after themselves especially if they have the flu). I always wash my hands after I sneeze and expect others to do so too.
Maybe I am obsessive about it but to me it's all only common manners and trying to keep healthy.
I have to be on time when I go anywhere. It drives me nuts to be late for something. I've gotten to the point of telling my husband we have to be somewhere a half hour earlier just so he will be ready to go on time otherwise he drags his feet and is never in a hurry. I guess that's why he's the only one of his siblings that doesn't have gray hair yet!
I'm a neat freak and very organized. Everything has to be in it's place and has to be very clean otherwise I'll keep looking at it and let it bother me until it's done. Not sure why I'm like this because my parents aren't that obsessed with neatness. It's easier to find things when you're organized and it looks nicer. Also, you never know when someone will stop by the house. I just needed a reason. Like things lined up perfectly straight.
Certain foods can't touch each other. No runny veggie juice in my potatoes or on my meat. Then it changes the taste. No runny juice of any kind making my bread/sandwich soggy. Like when the pickle next to the sandwich leaks all over or maybe the sandwich fillings are runny and make the bread soggy. Yet, I order French Dips all the time, go figure. I think it has to do with what it is and the length of time it sits soaking in. French Dips are eaten immediately, not sitting and soaking for 10 minutes on a plate. No gravy or salty items can touch my jello or cranberry sauce on the plate. No jello can get on my hamburger or brat bun. No baked bean juice in my jello. You get the idea.
I try to never touch door handles with my bare hands. I will put my sleeve over my hand or just use one finger at the bottom of the handle where the majority don't touch. I don't want germs on my hands. I get colds easy, so that's why. I also think about the guy that didn't wash his hands after crapping or the girl that just picked a booger, then touched the door handle.

I am extremely cautious of food touching each other. I prefer eating with one of those plates that has compartments. But then caseroles are one of my favoriites, so it's specific foods that I have touching each other.
Never vegatables with poatoes.
Never syrup with breakfast meat.
Never eggs with pancakes or syrup.
But I like mixing eggs with my fried potatoes.
I like dipping my toast into my fried eggs over easy.
I like mixing my spanish rice with a refried beans.
I love chocholate and beer. take a bite of a hersey's bar let if melt in my mouth and wash it down a slug of beer . mmmmmmmmmmm!
(I do not do that often though, maybe once a year or two.) But I do like it!

I think that would put me into a coma!!

....Now, a very great man once said
That some people rob you with a fountain pen
It didn’t take too long to find out
Just what he was talkin’ about
A lot of people don’t have much food on their table
But they got a lot of forks ’n’ knives
And they gotta cut somethin’....

I have the tendency to sleep with two pillows. One for my head and the other next to me on the side of my bed so that i wont fall off. i know i wont but its a habit. And I can't NOT do it. insane.
I tend to count stairs when I walk up or down them - even if I've counted them for 13 years (such as the ones in my house). Sometimes when I do it I think I'm a bit odd.

Yes!! I knew if I read others I would remember another one about me.
I hate being late and I totally hate waiting for someone when they are suppose to pick me up for something. Just ask my kids, in all their school days I think they may have been late once or twice...maybe. Makes for some crazy mornings sometimes if we are running late lol I run around crazy trying to throw us in the van...BECAUSE WE CAN'T BE LATE! LOL

Well, guess I can be odd with you then. I don't count every time but have caught myself counting stairs alot.
Another really weird thing I do, weird I think is even beyond 'ODD'. lol Sometimes (mainly when I'm tired), I have to stand at the bottom of the stairs and I vision myself at the top. It's like I have to think about how it will be as if I already walked up the stairs. lol Then as I am going up I am thinking...getting closer, I'm getting almost to the top, as I am thinking how the stairs behind me are getting further behind. Not sure if I'm explaining that right but trust me, it's kinda a weird thing I guess just to encourage myself to find the energy to get up the stairs. lol
lol Don't think I have ever told anyone that before. lol

I've done that, but only with school lol. I count the number classes and think getting closer to the end of the semester or closer to getting my degree. I would look at the class catalog so many times, crossing classes off as I went and then figuring out how many semesters if I take 2 classes at a time or 3 at a time, etc. When you first start school you think omg I have all this in front of me and I'll never get there. It's very overwhelming. You think how much longer will this take and how can I keep myself from burning out? It's like this huge mountain before you and then you get over the mountain only to find another mountain. It never ends haha.
