Arrgh! Stupid UPS!!

I've been sitting here since 7:30 this morning waiting on a clock to arrive via UPS.. when it hit 7:30 PM, I decided to recheck the UPS site to see if it was still scheduled for delivery and saw that it was now flagged as having been refused and it was being returned to the sender as refused.

Now, I never so much as went to the bathroom all day and UPS never knocked on my door.. in fact, I was sitting outside my apartment for the bulk of the day so there could be no mistake as the Fedex guy came and tried to deliver my other package to apartment "6", instead of "G". If I hadn't been out there then, I might not have gotten that package either.

It's bad enough they can't give you a time when someone will deliver and you have to sit all day and wait but I called and you'd think someone would have knocked on the door.

EDIT:

UPS just called and said what happened was the package was poorly packaged and the item was clearly damaged in shipping and marked as undeliverable, and not refused by me, but by them.

There's a possible $75 down the drain.. gonna have to see if I can get a refund.

Actually that was good they caught that and they made the decision to send it back. That way the sender couldn't say you broke it and was trying to get a refund. .. but you think the carrier could have contacted you about this right away rather than make you wait.

Well, ultimately it cost me $75 as I had the item pre-sold to a neighbor.. and yes, I was kind of steamed they at least didn't let me know. I sat here all day waiting.

I contacted the seller and she insisted it was well packed.. and of course, won't make a refund until she gets it back and makes a claim with UPS.

The item itself only cost me $9 but I don't want to be out the shipping under the circumstances.
