your husbands friend sounds like a real winner... not.

I agree with Cindy & it's also a peeve of mine... People who screw the system.

I have never met a welfare recipient who didn't drink excessively and/or smoke weed. using welfare to not only support their habits, but to pay a sitter so they can go out & party or whatever... sickening.

I wish they would drug test all welfare recipients randomly & deny them benefits if they use... It's only fair, considering you cant even earn a paycheck as a user now days... If they piss test for a job why not piss test those who we support to sit home? makes sense to me.

I hate that. It's a waste of time and doesn't do anything. It's like saying, "Hey, look at me. I have a brand new pack of cigarettes and you don't."

Re: Pet Peeves...

I know of a couple that I see quite often at the bars. They always claim they don't have much money, like they are on their last few dollars, but they are always drunk and smoke like chimneys. They wanted us to sell things on ebay for them because they didn't have internet connection anymore. They couldn't afford it. Then they had a fit that the items didn't go for as much as they wanted and that my husband took a percent out for listing it and his extra work (15%). They lost their house a couple years ago, because they couldn't make the payments.

Here's the kicker. They both work part time and won't work full time otherwise they won't get their money from the state. They both claim to have disabilities for injuries from car accidents. I'd believe it if I didn't see her out on the dance floor shaking her thing all the time. They can stand all night in the bar without a problem, but can't work full time? He used to make nice wood furniture on the side and would still do it, but no room for that in an apartment. Hmm, isn't that kind of like working full time?

They seemed surprised that we don't go out much on Fridays anymore in order to save money. They can't see themselves doing it. I'm not doing it because I want to, I'm doing it out of necessity.

Re: Pet Peeves...

Pet peeve: the way my husband hangs dress pants on a hanger. I've showed him how to do it 2 dozen times, but it doesn't sink in. He doesn't fold them in half evenly so one side hangs down much lower than the other, plus it's all bunched up on the hanger causing wrinkles. From our lower poles in the closet, his pants end up dragging on the floor because they are not hung correctly.

He also piles clothes every which way in the dresser instead of stacking them in piles. Then he wonders why clothes are wrinkled or that he can't find a certain shirt. Sometimes he'll look in the drawer and say, "Oh, I forgot about this shirt."

You should feel lucky.. my clothes rarely make it out of the clothes basket after doing the laundry.

Throwing clothes in the drawer is a guy thing.. the only time my sox are in order is when I open a new package.

My neighbor annoys me that lets his nasty dog loose to run around the neighborhood and the dog comes over here and barks at me in my own yard!

Why do guys on motorcycles have to rev their bikes real loud before taking off at stop lights like they have to show off how loud it is?

Re: Pet Peeves...

It's most annoying when you go into a public restroom only to find not one stall is clean enough to use. Why do women insist on peeing on the seat, or hang toilet paper over the edge of the toilet and not flush afterwards?? Or worse yet, go 'both' ways and not flush and leave the whole mess for the next person to walk up to. yuck.

While I am on it, why can't people hit the garbage can when throwing used paper towels away? I hate to see paper towels all over the floor NEXT to the garbage can. Get better aim people or pick up the paper. geeez.

Re: Pet Peeves...

One thing that annoys me is trying to get CD'S out of the package. Why don't they offer after you pay for the CD to cut the package for you before you leave the store? That would be a nice customer service.

Re: Pet Peeves...

I certainly am not one to complain about handicap spaces but why is it that all close spaces are now either handicap, senior citizen, mom 2 be, mom with toddlers, how about lady with teens? Or, lady with tired feet? lol Or keep a few open for rainy days only for those that forget their umbrellas? That would be great to have a chance to park close enough not to get to wet. lol

Re: Pet Peeves...

OK, while I'm sitting here complaining...why do places like Walmart, K-mart etc have garden centers and have flowers all on display but you still have to walk to the front door to get a cart? There has been many times I just want to go to the garden center doors but I know they never leave carts close by for you to use. That's just annoying.

Yes, I have to agree with you. I always have problems with getting things open, but seems like the CDs are the worse for me.

Oh, another thing that is difficult. PLASTIC BAGS in the veggie/fruit section at the stores. I can never get them open to put my choices in. lol I can stand there trying and trying at the 'open here' space before I can finally get it apart and opened. lol

Have you ever tried getting a Barbie doll out of it's package? They actually sew the hair to the box and you have to cut the threads to get it out. If you slip, you end up cutting the doll's hair instead! I don't know why they make it so difficult. Do they think six year olds are going to shop lift them or something?

My husband can never get the garbage or recycle bags open when we change them so I have to do it for him. I know he would never be able to do open one of those plastic bags for groceries!

I take you didn't have to fold the laundry as a kid? Even though us kids hated hanging out the wash and folding it, at least we learned later in life that you cant just throw clothes wherever you please or stuff them in a the drawer all messed up. There is no way my mom would let us get away with that.

I didn't mean socks, I meant the shirts and sweaters in the drawer. I guess my husband prefers wearing wrinkled clothes out in public and looking like a doofus.

They have to make up for things they lack.

I'd say it's a power thing. Whoever has the loudest, biggest, most expensive, most annoying or fastest motorcycle, car, boat, etc. Then they try to do something stupid to show off and that's when you hope someone is around with a video camera and puts it on youtube.

Get better aim people or pick up the paper. geeez.

I know what you mean about public restrooms...yuck! Are people that slobby at home? It's not just women's bathrooms, my husband says there are guys that will smear poop on the seat. Now that's just gross and childish.

I hate when they don't fix the locks on the stalls or when the toilet paper doesn't come out properly because it's out of round or cheap quality.

Hold the bag between your fingers and rub them together. This usually loosens the halves of the bag up enough to get it open.

Would a seam ripper work for that? I use mine all the time to get out the scratchy tags from shirts, another pet peeve of mine. I hate those tags on my neck.

Maybe his finger tips are too dry? I know how often men use hand lotion.

Another pet peeve! I hate being touched by sandpaper hands or shaking sandpaper hands. Guys, hand lotion does wonders and keeps the fingers from cracking in winter. Us women will appreciate it. Us women should just take a sheet of sandpaper and tape it to our hand then start touching the guys until they get the hint.
