I hate the constant annoying digital overlays on tv.. I pay for cable.. why are there even commercials? And why do they block half the picture with info about upcoming shows, etc?
I keep cable mainly for the internet.. can't get any other high speed where I live..
We still have dial up here and my son complains when ever he's home from college. He says that we need to get high speed internet, especially since he is majoring in computer technology now! LOL We might end up switching this summer just so he will stop bugging us about it! But I won't do the Charter package for the simple reason that when their cable is down, you lose your phone too. We can't have that happen when we are running a business here.
I think I've only had our phone down once that I noticed. I've had the computer down quite a few times, but the phone will still work. I know because I've called them to find out if it's just us or if the whole area is down.
I hear that charter cable is in the process of filling for bankruptcy.

They really misrepresent the items they sell. There's a name for this practice, False Advertising.
Nothing ever looks as good as the picture. That's even true with restaurants. Those burgers are always flatter. I guess when you order or buy it at the store they need to bring in the food stylists that did the photo shoot.
I've probably said this before, but I hate when people get lazy on the internet or the comments left on websites. They forget to use punctuation and never capitalize letters or use their "cute" text message language. I don't like people butchering the English language which just makes themselves look dumber. (I didn't look, but I sure hope that no one did that here or I'm going to get clobbered LOL).
When people use the wrong form of a word over and over the same post. Their, there, they're. You're or your. Too, to, two. Waist or waste. You get the idea. I know sometimes it's an accident, but when you see it more than once, it's no accident.
Most people are getting away from Charter because the price keeps going up and up. Every month the amount of the bill is different when they tell you one price.

Right now i pay $107/mo (after taxes) with charter... that includes highest speed internet, cable/dvr and 200+ channels. I shouldn't be complaining...
If i could find cheaper internet without having to add a phone line to my home (we only use cell phones now), i'd switch to dish, but the internet sevice alone (charter) would cost over $50 & it's pointless to switch unless i'm saving more than a few bucks.

A couple years ago i had to prove to my kids that they did not make that dumb word up, it's something we said back when i was in high school as well & i was told back then that we didn't make it up lol I emailed an old friend on myspace to get her to confirm it so i could show it to my kids.
You're right it's a dumb word, used by kids, amongst other dumb words.

The problem was it wasn't teens using the words, it was people way beyond their teens. I haven't even heard it until recently. At first I heard it being used by a person in England so I thought it was more British slang until I heard them say it on the radio here.

Oh, I hate people that don't return phone calls. That just seems rude. Happens a lot. Not just businesses, but friends and family are guilty.
