I went to look at something I found on craigslist and the guy told me that when I got up to the round about to turn blah, blah....I had no idea what he was talking about but decided to just go and find out.

I got up on this circle thing and almost panicked! lol It was so weird to be driving down the road and all of a sudden come to this circle with different ways to go. Of course I went wrong on it and had to turn back around it. Well, let's just say I am not fond of these 'things'. lol

I hear ya. Whenever I go somewhere I'm unfamiliar with I always use Google maps and print out the directions. Google also has a street view option so you can see the place before you even get there.
Check out the Google street view below, I bet you'll spend hours checking out different places.
I hate round abouts. It's seems everyone gets confused about where to turn, yield or look. That would cause more accidents than prevent them. I never hear anything good about them.
Round A Bouts. I am not sure if that is what they are called but they are a circle in the road with other roads going off them. If you miss your road you can go around and around. I really find them very annoying. Anyone have one in your neighborhood?
There are three of them I have to go through when ever I visit my sister in Mt. Horeb. I had never heard of them before they put them in there.
I can imagine how many accidents we would have if they ever put one in here. Most people around here don't even know how to use a four way stop yet!
Who came up with this crazy idea of a round about and why?? I never saw or even heard of one until then and I really had no idea what the heck I was suppose to do at first. lol I was like..ahhhh..what is this??? lol We did make it through and of course found out I took the wrong street and had to go back through and then we came back and had to do it all over again.
I honestly have no idea why they think these things are good. My real fear is...what are they going to think up next?

I hate when someone calls me & i say "hello" and they respond by saying "hi this is such & such"... then pause & wait for me to respond... i know this is the norm for some, but seriously who on this planet doesn't have caller id & not to mention you called me, so start the convo already.
Well, my home phone doesn't have caller ID. So not all of us LOL. But, you're right, they should get to the point right away.
Until just not to long ago our 'house' phone did not have caller ID on the phone even though we had the feature for it. We later bought a new phone and that one shows who is calling. I really only use the house phone for Internet purposes or if I'm home and sitting next to it I'll use it sometimes.
Otherwise I use my cell phone which of course has caller ID.
Actually I knew someone that after I say hello they will say hi this is...and then kinda hesitate so then I usually will say 'oh hi! how are you?? since I know this person really doesn't talk a lot. Then it's like an opening for the person to continue with the conversation. Some are just more introverted and simply has a harder time talking and getting to the point I guess.

Yes Ken I have used google street view a lot. Finding out what these companies look like ahead of time when job hunting helps. Sometimes you say it looks like a nice company and other times it's "Oh...that dump?" LOL.

I don't recall a post of you mentioning google street view, but i've used it many many times, like blue i want to know what i'm in for when i go somewhere & if i should avoid it.
I hate when people cut across a nice looking lawn (or any lawn really), when the sidewalk is right there in front of them... is it really that hard to take the few steps to the left??

There is another website I frequent where a person thinks she has to post a negative response to everything that I post. She was on another private chat room that I'm a member of but she got booted out because she would get drunk every time she caught her husband cheating on her (which was at least once a month) and she would come on there and be mad at us instead and say nasty things and cuss at us because we weren't on the site at 3 or 4 in the morning to hear her drunken rantings! She was warned many times but kept doing it so she was finally banned from there a few months ago. Now she thinks she has to post on this other site when ever one of us posts about anything. She needs to either see a shrink or get a divorce from her cheating husband. Geesh!

Oh yes, we have had this discussion here several times (maybe even once earlier in this thread)... Blue & i are both very familiar with this type of person from other forums we are part of... those negative people irk me!

A few years back on another site I use to belong to we had a nasty mouth drunk that would come on the chat late at night. Almost sounds like the same woman. She was finally banned of course but until she was she made every one's life miserable on chat until we wouldn't even go there if she was on. People like that needs to just sleep it off rather then make everyone else miserable.

One thing that bugs me is when everyone is posting to have fun but you end up having that 'one' person that always has to make snide remarks or be just the opposite or if you say it's a sunny day, they respond with uggg it's to sunny..we all know the type. You like something, they won't etc. etc. etc. To bad they never see themselves either. They just think if you point it out that you are picking on them. lol
The Paranoid Person. That one really gets me. You say something they don't like and they will hate you on the forums. They won't respond to your comments, or treat you as if you are invisible. lol Those kind make me laugh.
Or how about the member that never stays on topic. The topic is going along nicely and then someone will come on and put a random long post on that makes no sense to what is being discussed? lol
I also have a pet peeve when someone comes on that totally butches the English language with totally the worse grammar and no knowledge of how to spell. I am not great at it all but at least I try to use spell check most of the time. lol

My peeve is how I can't put our garbage bags out to the road without my neighbor's dog chewing into them.
How they let the dog bark until really late at night or early morning. Do they sleep with ear plugs??
Or the other neighbor that has a very tiny dog and they let him loose. The poor thing is to small and will get hit by a car or chewed up by a cat if they are not careful. People need to stop being so careless with their pets.
I really dislike when you see someone walking their dog past your yard and stop to let the dog do it's duty on your yard and then keep walking! Let me find where you live and I'll bring your poo back to you. grrrr
Or the big dog behind us that keeps digging huge holes under our fence. They have him tied up so he can't get through but I ask, why can't they just move the chain a bit further away so he just can't reach the fence line?? geez

PK, are you not using Firefox? That will underline words in red as you type. Kind of like Word does. This helps a lot so you don't have to spell check.

Example: You are a looser, I went their, I new that, etc. Then there are the ones too lazy to capitalize or use periods between sentences. Or those that make one really huge paragraph instead of several small ones.
That would be the drunken girl on that other website I go to! She NEVER capitalizes anything and forget about any punctuation being used either. She types one long sentence/paragraph with almost every other word misspelled. If she's drunk when she posts, forget about understanding anything she types, although she always manages to spell the cuss words correctly!
