Gasoline expected to remain cheap this summer


WASHINGTON (AP) — Gasoline prices are expected to be relatively low this summer, so motorists might want to take to the road despite the dismal economy if the federal government projections hold.

The Energy Information Administration said regular-grade gasoline is expected to average $2.23 a gallon during the April-through-September driving season, although it will likely fluctuate and could jump to more than $2.30 a gallon during the peak driving period in late summer.

What happened to under two dollars? It's better than $4.00, but it aint no flipping bargain. I bet it won't help the tourist thing one bit, unless it's the short haul trips. Those mobile homes allot of folks travel in will still cost a fortune to fill up.

Yeah i wont be seeing over $2 a gallon as a great deal & reason to travel, but it beats last summer, that's for sure.
