I feel a little awkward telling you this but, March 18th is Awkward Moments Day..
We've all had 'em.. an inopportune rumbling stomach or runny nose, split pants, a misspoken word or a forgotten name.. what was your most memorable awkward moment?
Re: I Feel A Little Awkward Telling You This But...
I've had many awkward moments, mostly in restaurants it seems..
The first time Cindy and I went out to dinner in Virginia Beach we chose a seafood restaurant. I love nice, juicy corn on the cob and while biting into a piece, the juice somehow managed to fly across the table past the lens of Cindy's glasses and into her eye.. embarrassing then but still makes me laugh today.
Don't even get me started on denture mishaps or growling stomachs!

Okay; one day at the office, my secretary went to the ladies room, upon her return, she made it past at least a dozen people with her skirt stuffed into the back of her panty hose. Believe it or not, I couldn't find the words to tell her of her problem. I guess she figured it out after she sat there for a while, at that point she was angry with me as I didn't make her aware. I asked why she wasn't angry with the dozen people she had already past?( Not a nice reply!)

Poor girl...that would definitely be embarrassing!
A couple years ago, my son and I went to the local Dairy Queen after attending a choir meeting. While there, I had to use the rest room so I walked into the "Ladies Room" and I thought "Wow, they must have remodeled in there too because they had just done the outside of the place." It took me a few seconds before I realized that I was in the "Men's Room" and those were urinals, not sinks! Boy was I embarrassed! Luckily there wasn't anyone using the "facilities" in there at the time! One of the employees did give me a funny look when I came out though. Now that WAS awkward! LOL

Years ago my girlfriend and I went roller skating and she excused herself to use the restroom.. when she returned to the floor to skate, she was trailing a long strand of toilet paper wrapped around the wheels of her skates. Needless to say she was pretty mortified and we left early that night.

As I was growing up we went roller skating alot since my uncle owned the roller rink in our town (Zion). I actually remember something similar happening to me before but I don't remember it being embrassing. Just something that happens when you skate. If paper is on the floor and you roll over it, it can get stuck. I've seen it happen to others. You just pull it off. .. now if it was sticking out the back of her pants..that could be a bit embarrassing. lol

LOL i would run away & never come back if it was sticking out the back of my pants & someone had to point it out to me lol
Dave i think your girlfriend (one of many it seems LOL) was a wee bit too sensative if tp on the skate made her want to run & hide.
Re: I Feel A Little Awkward Telling You This But...
There was a guy at Summerfest that had toilet paper sticking out of the back of his shorts. No one behind him said anything, but we all kept laughing and someone even took a picture of it. He got up and walked away and still had the TP tail.

I've accidently walked into the men's room a couple times. At the state capital I did it on purpose once. The line to the women's room was too long and there are more bathrooms for men there it seems. I had hubby look inside the men's room and said all was clear. As I was coming out of the stall, a man was standing at the bathroom sink and never noticed me behind him.
There is a restaurant in Pensacola that had the sign for the women's bathroom on the men's door and the sign for the men's bathroom is on the women's door. I did end up walking into the men's. There is a double door that warns you that you walked inside the wrong one, but I missed that sign, too. If you look closely at the main sign on the first doors, it does show arrows pointing to the correct bathroom door. I'm sure they love how many people make that mistake, that is their little joke. It was a very cool place for other reasons. They had some very strange hamburgers on the menu, including a hot fudge sundae burger. They also had dollar bills hanging on every inch of the ceilings. I'm sure Toes knows about this place since it's Pensacola.

Awkward moment at the old Brat & Brau in Madison. I was sitting at the table looking at the menu and I had to let one rip. I figured with the padded seat would muffle any sound, but it was wood below that and had the opposite effect. I let it slip out and oh no!...the noise. I stayed hiding behind my menu and finally had to get up and leave because I couldn't hold back the laughter. My husband wasn't at the table at the time and there were 2 other people in the room, but I know they had to have heard it.

I didn't walk out of the restaurant, just the room. The dining area was divided into rooms. It would have to be something much worse than that to get me to leave.

lol I hear ya, i'd do the same!
Awkward moment...
I had been on a forum for some time & there was this guy on the forum from Madison (Not a WI forum), we would chat quite often on the forum messenger & chatroom, he was my age & single, but we never seen pictures of one another & never spoke of meeting, just chatted.
One day i was leaving work & there was this guy standing there talking to a co-worker, as i passed by he looked at me and said "mmm mmm dayum girl, i like me a thick girl like you!!" kinda like a cat call i guess you could say (He was HOTT, but I HATE CAT CALLS! it's so lame!). I looked back wondering if i knew him & i had never seen him before, so i simply rolled my eyes & said "I'm sure stupid lines like that don't get you much action huh? You dayum fool!" he looked shocked & so did the girl he was talking to, i continued on my way.
The next day my co-worker (who i had never spoke to, she worked in another part of the office building) found me & told me it was her brother & he felt bad that he opened his mouth & something so foolish came out before he knew it LOL she claimed he wasn't like that at all, rather he's the shy type... I laughed & blew it off.
Less than a week later the guy on the forum asked if i wanted to meet for coffee, since we both had wednesday off & no plans... we met at Perkins for lunch & YEP you guessed it... it was the same guy from in front of my job & neither of us had a clue before we actually met... had never seen a pic & had NO CLUE that i worked with his sister, didn't even know each others real name till after we decided to have lunch! Didn't care to see a pic since we were online chat/forum buddies for at least a year at that point & there was no pic or personal info needed for that!
So i figured meet in public, have lunch... what's the harm in that? no harm, but man was that a strange lunch LOL
He wasn't the jerk he came off as at my job! Turns out he's a very successful man, has a lot going for him & such a sweetheart!
I picked on him quite often about how we first layed eyes on one another lol
