American Presidents Before And After Photos
No one said being a President was an easy job and you can certainly tell by looking at the pictures of just before they went into office and just after.

Obama Before Election:
I saw this recent picture of President Obama that shows how he is already starting to take on a stressed look.

Re: American Presidents Before And After Photos
Although you can see the photoshop work to these pics, dimmer lighting in 'after' pics etc... to make them look aged, everyone will look older after 8 years, especially with all the old presidents who have taken office. However, the stress the presidents deal with must help the process of grey hair... Obama obviously didn't care about that... i wonder if he will color his hair... i dont know why i wonder that, but i do

Re: American Presidents Before And After Photos
I've seen photos like this before. I think I even did a search for it after my family discussed how the presidents age quickly in office. The stress really takes it toll and no matter what is going on in the world, it's a difficult job that most people wouldn't want.
This site shows 12 presidents going all the way back to FDR. You can vote for who you think aged the most and see how everyone else voted.

I use to always stay young looking even during stressful times. People use to guess my oldest daughter and I were sisters, never mother/daughter.
But the last 5 years has been very difficult and because of issues in our lives it has really did a number on me. Because of this I've had a Weight gain, hair turning white,of which I have fixed that at least, TMJ messed my mouth appearance, whew, I look much older now then 5 years ago and feel it too. I'm almost a different person now I think. So I can imagine how stress can affect the appearance of a President. I sure would never want the job!

Re: American Presidents Before And After Photos
Excellent website Blue. Thanks for sharing it.
So now everyone should check out the different photos and post which President do you think aged the most in office?
I picked Franklin D. Roosevelt. I realize there is a 12 year aging process with him but even with that in mind he still went from a young looking guy to an aging man. But then he was in office during very difficult times and it totally shows on him.

Re: American Presidents Before And After Photos
I'm surprised I haven't aged quickly in the last 7 years due to school stress, financial stress and job hunting/lay off stress. The 2000s haven't been kind to us. It's been quite a struggle. Each year we hope that changes and yet here we still are getting kicked in the gut again. I don't remember breaking any mirrors 7 years ago.
Thankfully, I don't look like I have been through a lot.

People guess my daughter and i to be sisters all the time, i color my grey, otherwise i'd look much older i think. Just a few years ago people would guess my age & say "no way you're older than 26 or 27" which was cool when i was 33 or 34... now they say "no way you're over 30" which is still ok since i'm almost 37, but when with my daughter by my side they always say i look to be in my 20's, maybe because she is 20 & it changes something? lol I don't know... personally i think they are all being nice, i'd guess me at early 30's at least! nice to hear though
I'd probably look more like 76 instead of 36 if i was president for a week, especially the way things are right now!

Re: American Presidents Before And After Photos
I enjoyed the portraits of presidents and first ladies, esp. John Kennedy.

We call that denial. Also, we often compare ourselves to others by saying we looking younger than so-and-so because they aged so quickly. That is my theory anyway.
