Re: Groundhog Day: What Day Would You Live Over If You Could?
I hear ya.. for me, it would be a tossup between spending a day with my mom fishing off the pier and the first day Cindy and I spent together in Virginia Beach.
One of my favorite movies too.. playing on WGN tonight, if I'm not mistaken.

I'd re-live the day before my grandson collapsed--spent the day with him and if I had known what to look for, I could have maybe mitigated some of the damage. That was the last day he laughed out loud.

........any day on the beach when the weather is in the 80's, the sun is shining, the water is crystal clear and warm like bathwater......the shelling is good and I have an entire day off, now that's a day to re-live over and over.

Re: Groundhog Day: What Day Would You Live Over If You Could?
There are so many days of which I would love to live over again for various reasons but for my pick right now it would have to be a day from my childhood. I would pick one of the many family reunions we had at my Uncle and Aunts Farm (my mom's brother) near Bristol, Wisconsin. We always looked so forward to going to the reunion with all my Mom's side of the family would be there. We loved going down to the huge barn they had and seeing the cows, cats/kittens and the mean bull. lol I never remember a picnic without the sun shining and everyone having a great time.
One thing I remember is always waiting for my cousins to come down from up by Mount Horeb area knowing they were bringing the big pot of hot rommegrot (norwegian pudding!). Oh how we loved when they finally showed up.
All my Mom's brothers and their wives are passed away including my Mother now. We still have some of the older cousins and their children and children but never will there be a time like our childhood days on the farm again.
So, yes, I would totally love to go back to a family reunion picnic and see my Mom and all my uncles, and aunts and wait once more for my cousins and the rommegrot.
That day will come again though when we all meet in Heaven. And I'm sure the rommegrot will be waiting and warm again.

I also have many times I would like to live over again but if I had to choose, I think it would have to be back when my kids were little...those were the best times ever!
Re: Groundhog Day: What Day Would You Live Over If You Could?
I can't choose an exact day, but any time spent with a group of friends hanging out back in our twenties to earlier thirties. So many good times.
I'd like to go back to some of the trips my husband and I took. I'd like to explore those places more.
I'd go back to a day when I was younger and tell myself to do something with my life sooner instead of waiting until I was older to make changes. All those years wasted working in a factory. Maybe this would be more along the lines of time travel, not reliving a day.
