Today (January 23rd) is National Handwriting Day. With the advent of the computer, I often wonder how many of us even use a pen or pencil on a regular basis unless it's to sign a check.
According to the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association (WIMA) website "The purpose of National Handwriting Day is to alert the public to the importance of handwriting. According to WIMA, National Handwriting Day is a chance for all of us to re-explore the purity and power of handwriting."
There's no doubt that neat, legible handwriting is a mark on the "plus side" in everyday life. For those of you who enjoy calligraphy it can also be a rewarding hobby or business.
Anyone else recall first learning to write and those penmanship workbooks we used in grade school?
Does your handwriting look like a doctor's or do you have nice handwriting?
