Arrow Miss Someone? Let Them Know!

"I always knew looking back on the tears would make me laugh.
But I never knew looking back on the laughs would make me cry."

December is Write A Friend Month. Thought about a friend lately? Write to them and let them know you still care!

Could be you may be just the person they need to hear from!

"We do not so much need the help of our friends as the confidence of their help in need."

Re: Miss Someone? Let Them Know!

Good thought, Dave. Nothing like getting a personal note just saying someone is thinking of you.

Regards,
Keith

Re: Miss Someone? Let Them Know!

Well Dave, in another topic I just wrote that I use to actually send a real Christmas card with a personal note years back but not much anymore,
I mostly send e-cards for Christmas now. Not to personal actually when you think of it.

Maybe I just may have to dust off my address book and send a few extra real cards out this year.

When I think about it, I do so love getting a 'real' card in the mail. Or an unexpected letter. Makes me feel special that someone took the time to out to send something to me.

So everyone, send a card, message, short note, add a picture of the kids, or dog, to someone you use to keep in touch with but rarely see anymore. Or even send something to your loved one just to help make their day a little brighter.

That is a good thought, send a card or just a note that says, I Love You just because to your Mom, wife, husband, etc. and see them smile when they open it up.

If nothing else, it will make the Post Office happy to get more mail! lol

I'll send e-cards to those who i only know online (not at all in real time), for their birthday or what not. I have always been a fan of real x-mas cards with a personal message.

So true. It's always great to get something fun wedged in amongst the junk mail, sale flyers, and the bills, bills, and more bills.

Re: Miss Someone? Let Them Know!

Postage is a killer for me so I usually keep in touch by sending free postcards via HippoPost. Hippopost allows you to upload any picture, write a postcard to anyone in the US or Canada and they send it out free via US mail. I send out several a week usually.. great way to share photos if nothing else..

Re: Miss Someone? Let Them Know!

This thought inspired me to write 3 letters today to friends that I have fallen out of touch with. Thanks.

just wondering...

Who pays the postage then? Nothing is really free with the post office.

Re: Miss Someone? Let Them Know!

They insert a small sponsor ad at the bottom of the card in the message area.. if you go to the link you can check it out and preview the card before sending it. I use it all the time. You can even pick the ad they put on the card.

Hippopost

It's alot of fun too.. I posted my address on another forum and everyone sent me cards using the service..

Re: Miss Someone? Let Them Know!

I think often of my Grandmother and miss quite a lot, even 45 years after her death! I was just one of her many grandchildren, but one of the youngest.

I would love to have a conversation with her and share a pot of tea.
