Best Cell Phone?

What cell phone do you have and what cell phone would you like to have and why?

I'm partial to the prepaid phones because there's no contract.. last time I moved to an area that wasn't serviced by my carrier I had to pay a $200 early termination fee! Some prepaid phones now offer unlimited calling plans so they're beginning to compete with the contract plans a bit.

My last phone was a Kyocera 612 Strobe (sold by Vigin Mobile as the Switchback)



I originally bought the phone because while it was a bit bulky, it fit into my hand easily and wasn't 'teeny tiny".. but the biggest plus for me was the built in camera and QWERTY keyboard when you open the phone as 90% of my cellular use is by text message.

I know people are going to point to the iPhone (which is great) but it's missing features I'd like to have (tactile keyboard, for one) and it's pricey (like all Apple products)..

I think it will soon be the iphone. It needs a better camera and video recording. I think a micro or pica projector built in to the end would make it the best. The keyboard will soon become a moot issue due to voice recognition software. We will have to see what the next version brings.

I'm not sure about the keyboard becoming moot.. I've had phones that use voice recognition but it won't replace texting IMO. if people were going to talk, they wouldn't text in the first place.

I think you will wear an ear piece and it will read your brain waves and you will not even have to speak.

Wanted to kick this up because I'm looking at getting a new cell phone and while I still prefer prepaid phones, it'd be interesting to see what everyone else prefers and is using..

So, whatcha got? (I still love that Kyocera btw!)
