Video from an Oregon Department of Transportation camera showed this slide coming down onto westbound Highway 26 in a wooded section of the city of Portland about 9:15 a.m. on Mar. 28, 2007. Soil spilled over a jersey barrier and blocked lanes.
Great video, thanks for finding and posting it Dave.
But I wonder too if this is real or not? I mean how could someone just be there taping this? Did they know ahead of time that it was going to happen?
lol that's me, always wondering...
I've also wondered at times when going through the Rockies and looking up at the trees on the side of the mountain walls what are the chances of them falling down. Maybe not a whole landslide but maybe a tree breaking loose and just tumbling down on the road. Not something to think about when going down the road but it's better than looking at the edge and wonder if you could go over. lol

I noticed right away those white barriers of some sort going across the road as if to be stopping anyone who might try to access that area...
I wondered if it was road work being done and something going wrong...like a tree wanting to cross the road...?
