It was a good show last night.
Warren Sap really impressed me. I think if Brett Favre retires after this season then he should be on the show next year. It might be a lot of fun to watch him.
Olympic goldlist, Misty May Treanor, on Dancing with the Stars sustained an injury that has left her out of the running for the remaining of the season. That's to bad, I thought she did a good job last week.
Are the Americans not tired of voting for athletes in whatever they do? And the judges. Are they under pressure to give scores? Why is Maurice still here? Maurice’s dancing movements (don’t even think of techniques) are on the same level as Cloris, who God knows why is still here. Either Maurice or Cloris should have been eliminated. There’s absolutely no graciousness as far as Maurice’s DANCING is concerned. Shaking one’s shoulders doesn’t count.
Warren is just a touch better. I mean he’s not bad, but that’s all: not bad, but not good. Give you an example: the Japanese sumo wrestlers don’t play American football(No offence, I think they’re great). But if you put a teacher on them for a few days and make them play a game, you can imagine what it looks like. However, let’s say one wrestler turns out that he’s not as bad as one expects, he can actually catch a ball avoid a couple of tackles and run a couple of yards. But he’s still far from being considered skillful. That’s what Warren is: like a Japanese sumo wrestler playing football who is not too bad.
On the other hand, Maurice is like the other wrestlers.
So please stop voting just because they’re athletes, except in the case of Kristi Yamaguchi who was the best in that season. You don’t need to be a dancing critic to tell who looks better than the others, just like you don’t need to be an expert to tell whether a girl is pretty or not.
82 year old, Cloris Leachman is still hanging in dancing with the stars. I wonder how much longer she will stay on. All I know is that I watch her and just pray she doesn't fall and break a hip. At her age that could easily happen.
Now that Cloris Leachman was voted off the dance show who do you think will be next?
I'm thinking maybe Susan. I really love her as Erica on ALL MY CHILDREN. Watched the show since it started, and she is doing good in dancing and has come a long way, but not as great as some of the others. Someone has to go so I am thinking Susan is next.
Okay, I'm going to HAVE to watch...I teach this stuff, you know. Problem is, I'm always teaching when the show is on! They are all sitting on the DVR. Maybe I'll sit down this weekend and watch them...
I'm surprised that this topic kinda was left to the wayside for awhile now. So did everyone that watched the last DANCING WITH THE STARS agree with the winner? I knew Brooke would win from the start. She could easily do some more training and come back as a professional some day I think. I was a bit surprised that Lance came in 3 instead of 2nd. Thought more people would vote for him but at least he placed. Maybe some of his whining and telling everyone that he couldn't dance very good through out the weeks had something to do with his 3rd placement.
So....what are you all going to watch on Monday/Tuesday nights now that Dancing with the Stars is over?
I'll bet with all the dancing shows that are on that attendance at dancing classes has really picked up. There's something to do on Monday / Tuesday nights!
