T-Mobile is set to debut one of the first "Google Phones", phones running the internet search giant's mobile phone software. Google does not manufacture phones. The T-Mobile phone will look much like an iPhone but also sport a trackball, slide-out keyboard, and access to Google's e-mail and mapping applications.
T-Mobile's "Google" powered phone will roll out in US stores October 22st in 21 cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Miami.
Speculation is that Google stands to make more money from it's phones than it's desktop or internet applications.

I hope they let the phones and software stand on their own merits and not stack them up against the Apple iPhone. iPhone isn't for everyone. In fact, I prefer a tactile keyboard on a phone, tho the iPhone interface is impressive.
Are you looking forward to the Google phones, or will you stay with your old stand-by?
