God truly watches over me.. I was just lamenting over the fact I was down to one roll of toilet paper and would have to make a trip to the store for more.
When I went out to the mailbox, there was a full sample roll of Scott Extra Soft toilet paper in the mail from Walmart!
Well that is pretty cool I just noticed...Dave is in Sussex..... Koo just lists Waukesha....
So you are both in Waukesha County. What city are you Koo??
April 14, 2005 my best friend & i had just left our 3rd shift job after a 12 hr shift. one minute we were talking about work & the next day i was waking up in a hospital bed being told i may never walk again & in a body brace. They wouldnt give me word on my best friend other than we had been flown to seperate hospitals as days passed & no one had info on her i assumed the worst & my heart hurt more than the injuries. a few days later my hospital phone rang & it was my best friend calling from her hospital bed in another city, she too had just found out that i survived, when my sister showed up at her hospital room to get an update for me.
God is good & i'm grateful to have had the past 3 yrs with my children & best friend. We both have injuries which do not effect our everyday lives (several surgeries later, you would never know about our accident if we didnt tell you), the pain is 100 times worse in the winter, but we still have eachother & couldn't be happier
Oh yeah & he also provides for me because i found a $100 bill in my sweater last night, it had to of been there since last winter... go me! lol
Wow, Chica, that's quite a story. Glad you both still have each other.
Don't you just love finding money in a pocket? Last time we rented a car, I found $5 in the armrest.
I recently got 2 gallons of Frank's Redhot Sauce free. I will be making chili forever. I've been bottling the hot sauce up and giving it away to everyone. I even made labels on the computer.

Ok, here's one. This goes back to 2002, which was a very tough year for me. I was on temp layoff at my job of 10 years. 2 weeks after that, my husband fell at work and broke his arm and a couple of ribs. This meant both of us were on partial incomes. I called up my workplace and asked that they find me something to do. So what was their answer to that? They called back someone else with much less seniority than me. They also told me that I had lots of other options blah blah blah. Jerks!
By summer I got a letter in the mail saying not to come back to work. I was totally devastated. It was a very rough summer. I ended up depressed and feeling worthless. Anyone who has been laid off can relate. I even had to fight my workplace for my last paycheck. Once again...Jerks!
This is when I made the decision to attend school in the fall. I had hated what I was doing for a living and needed to do something I loved. I knew it would take a while and cost a lot of money and we certainly weren't loaded. One day my husband had entered a drawing that the credit card company was having. I would have just thrown the form in the trash thinking I could never win, but not him. Not long after that we got $10,000 as our prize. Of course, after taxes were taken out it ended up being around $7000. That was a start anyway.
The story is much longer and is filled with all kinds of ups and downs over the past few years. This year I think we are finally on our way back to normal.
WoW Thank God your husband took it upon himself to enter the contest.
I have been laid off as a single mom of 2 & i understand the hardship you speak of... I'm glad you have bounced back & getting back to 'normal' (whatever normal may be lol). The good lord works in mysterious ways IMO.
