I remember my last girlfriend put grape jelly on just about everything she ate. Now I like grape jelly but it doesn't go on a hamburger IMO.
Got any odd eating habits or foods people always say, "Ewwww! How can you eat that?"?
I've lived all over so picked up eating habits from various parts of the country.. I like grits with my breakfast, for example, and alot of people can't stand 'em.. rice too with lots of butter and sugar!
Some people are picky about their BBQ sauce.. there used to be a place in Western NY called Country Sweet that if I was a millionaire, I'd fly their food in just for the sauce! Yellow, sweet & sour bbq sauce.. it was heavenly!
I love sushi.. once ate octopus tentacles to gross out my girlfriend (hm, maybe THAT'S why she left me?)
Tried a tin of whale meat once years ago.. rich and delicious!
The first time i tried Rocky Mountain Oysters was by mistake. We were at a truck stop buffet in Nebraska and ate what we thought were veal patties until we asked. I still liked them after the fact but my girlfriend wouldn't touch another one (musta been out of grape jelly that day )
There isn't much I won't try eating.. like new experiences.

I've had rattlesnake, conch, alligator, and even sea cucumber (it was disgusting!).
I always have to eat BBQ sauce on my grilled cheese.
I like to put hot cocoa powder in my milk. It doesn't mix, but instead forms into little hot cocoa balls. I then scoop them out with a spoon.
My mom was full Norwegian and use to make Krub every winter (not blood krub). Totally loved it, especially the next day sliced and fried in butter. But many people look at me when I try to explain as if they have no idea what I am talking about! lol
When I was growing up our 'snacks' could be something like a slice of white bread with butter and sugar on top.
or
Graham Crackers with homemade powdered sugar frosting as a filling and another Graham Cracker on top. Refrigerate it until the frosting was set. Loved those!
We also use to take white crackers and put them on a tray and either smear with butter, or jam, or jelly. They were great to eat as we watched t.v.
We made up things with what we had. No micro wave treats for us. lol
My mom used to eat buttered toast in warm milk and mayonnaise and sugar sandwiches.
I love to crush up graham crackers and put milk on top in a bowl..

I used to see people out on the fishing piers in Florida eating the live bait shrimp.. I like my shrimp boiled in beer with lots of lemon and melted butter.. live, uhm, no..

Eww, now that's something I won't touch. I don't do weird animal parts like stomachs, intestines, tongues, or prairie oysters. I do, however, like trying different meats like (besides what I said earlier) elk, goat (yuck!), turtle, squirrel, wild boar, soft shell crab, escargot, and rabbit to name some that I have tried.
I like trying new foods, but some things I just won't touch, like when you see those shows on TV where the guy goes to foreign countries to eat bugs and other gross things.
Does anyone eat any weird combinations of food together that others don't. This topic came up often at places I worked at. Yes, people get bored at work.
Some that I remember are:
Egg salad sandwich dipped in orange Kool-aid.
Peanut butter on a hamburger.
Cheez Whiz on Oreos.
Applesauce mixed with spaghetti sauce.
Syrup on noodles.
Peanut butter on pancakes with syrup.
Jelly on grilled cheese (perhaps KooKoo's ex-girlfriend?)
I'll try nearly anything once so long as it doesn't sound totally disgusting..
Never tried any of these combos but did try an Elvis Special (peanut butter and banana sandwich) and wasn't impressed.. not bad tasting, just didn't see the appeal.
I usually mix my vegetables into my mashed potatoes.. after all, they're all headed to the same place.

I did order a different hamburger when we were in Washington. It had blue cheese, swiss cheese, jalepenos, bacon and a brown sugar glaze. It was actually very good with the salty, sweet and spicy flavors.
I've made the Elvis special, but on cinnamon bread for added flavor, wasn't that exciting. I prefer the ones we make when we go camping, kind of like a s'mores. We put marshmallows, Hershey bar and peanut butter in between slices of bread and cook them in the pudgie pie irons.
Several years ago when my youngest daughter was trying out her hand in 'how to cook' she made me lunch. She made me a hot dog with sugar on it. I didn't want to hurt her feelings at the time so I ate it...... never again. lol
Been there, done that.. sometimes you have to grin and bear it.
My oldest daughter is a fantastic cook...but even she made some muffins one time that I couldn't even fake liking them. lol lol They were beautiful looking but nasty to eat....(oh, I hope she doesn't read this!)

Not me, but I have a cousin who LOVES wheat bread, bologna and grape jelly sandwiches
