....Now, a very great man once said
That some people rob you with a fountain pen
It didn’t take too long to find out
Just what he was talkin’ about
A lot of people don’t have much food on their table
But they got a lot of forks ’n’ knives
And they gotta cut somethin’....

I do have to say that the one ulitmate joy I wanted to have in my life since I was old enough to speak was the joy of having children. I will say that after having 4 and now even grandkids they have been a great source of joy. The most joy though is when they are sleeping! lol
I miss the joys from having my kids around so for now I enjoy the time with my nephew Jayden, he will be 7 this year. I also love my miniature schnauzer Schatzi; she always puts a smile on my face. Other things joyous to me are spending the quality time (after working all day) with my husband. For “me time” I enjoy pampering myself or what I like to call stress relieving, reflexology massage sessions by visiting my aunt. She manages to massage it all away and make me feel better.
To be real honest having a little extra cash right about now would really make me smile

Yeterday I had the opportunity to work outside my normal routine at work and do some work in MS Access. It is the application I love to hate! I dislike the the challanges but love the RUSH I get when I resolve an issue. I actually caught mself working through lunch.
My Joy was work yesterday, something I have not done in a very long time.
Whay is your reJOY today? Post it here.

What brings me joy is when I can still the voices in my head. You know, the running commentary we give ourselves as we go through the day? When I can turn that off and allow whatever it is that replaces all that noise to have a turn...that is joyful for me. It's like a big empty paranthesis amidst all the chatter. A few blissful moments. Then it's back to the chatter.
There's a lot of little things that make me happy, but sometimes like everyone else, I tend to forget and keeping thinking about the bad things.
Traveling to places makes me happy and discovering some place scenic.
I find joy in simple things like hearing a good song I haven't heard in a long time and had forgotten about.
Dancing the night away to a band.
Sitting on my deck in summer and relaxing to the sounds of birds in the day time or crickets at night. Love falling asleep to the sound of crickets in summer.
Having a really good conversation or sharing a laugh with someone. Not just an everyday ordinary conversation, but one that is so interesting that it leaves you not wanting to walk away.
A bowl of homemade soup and with homemade bread on a cold winter day.
Eating outside in the summer by somewhere scenic and you feel your troubles are far away.
Getting a surprise bouquet of flowers from my husband just because. Also, seeing flowers blooming in summer.
Snuggling with my husband under a blankie watching a movie together.
Having a regular paycheck hahaha.
Ok, I better stop. I could think of more.
I remember reading a while back where you should keep a journal about something good that happened to you every day. Then, if you are having a bad day you can go back and look at the good things in your life.
When I saw the words Big O, I thought wait a minute, it's not that kind of forum lol.
Whoa lol
Knowing that my kids are grown & I can go & come as i please, without having to financially be stressed paying someone to watch them. I remember the days when, even if i could afford to go out, the babysitter cost too much & i couldn't do both (go out & pay the sitter) so i didn't get out much

It's me time... that gives me Joy!
Ooh, I so hear you on this one, Latina! Love my kids to death, but also love that they're all grown up!
