I can certainly see schools banning this attire. But to try to put a ban on a city, or make it illigal etc.. that is laughable.
Heck in New York, Women can walk down the street with no top on. So I guess I rather see a guys plaid boxer.
The thing I hate even more is the teen girls with such low cut pants in the back that they show their 'crack' when bending or sitting. Come on now, that is just not nice to see.
I make my daughter do the bend and the sit tests in the dressing room before I will purchase a pair of jeans for her. lol Thought I was the only mom like that until the other day I over heard yet another mom sounding just like me in the next dressing room... sit, now get up and bend over etc...lol lol

the bend and sit test WOW is that good pk. I am glad my kids are grown and I do not have to go through that now.
I know first hand however that ther are many young ladies and men that change their clothes before they get to school!!
Then when someone mentions that they are not covering up enough of (whaterever they want to expose) the kids get smart and defensive'
(Why are you looking there is their question?)
The whole thing can make everyone uncomfortable.
I just wish more parents were like to pk, bend and sit and you shop with your kids.

Every year we have to register the kids for school. This year at registration there were BIG signs drawn up about Dress Code for the kids
No baggy pants, no butt cracks showing, no bras or under clothing showing. Mid-drifts must be covered with articles of clothing (pic was a teen with shirt tucked in jeans). No chains, spikes or pins on clothing.
There were a few more but I'm drawing a blank right now.
New rule as well is ALL Cell phones will be turned off during these hours.... (hours were listed) and then it said unless you are on your lunch period OUTSIDE the school building.

When I was in high school they really cracked down on these rules. They had big embarrassing tshirts that had to be worn if you had too much midriff showing or your pants were too low/baggy.

There's a town in louisiana that has put a ban on baggy pants. They will fine you if your underwear is showing.
Kind of makes me snicker because having been a teen in the 80's, I still can't figure out how we got away with the shredded jeans. I was guilty of that myself lol.

Re: Proposed Atlanta Bill Would Ban Baggy Pants
It might not look good, and people might not like to see thongs and boxer, but that is not something that should be illegal, or up to the government.
