a perfect stranger

I have not seen anyone suggest movies here so here goes.
I rarely find decent new movie for the most part they follow a typical recipe that satifies the masses wants and desires.
My wife does NOT like killing movies, where 1000 people are killed in slow motion within the 1st five minutes of the movie and then it gets violent.
While I can watch an action packed flick I am also losing my taste for these brainless wonders.

Last night we were planning on going to the reduced cost theater but ended up in grid-lock and late so we went to Hollwod for a video.

We found
A Perfect stranger. There was only one spot that she had to turn away. The remainder of the movie had
Suspense
Drama
Twisting plots
Excellent acting
Sarring Halle Barry (sp) and Bruce Willis

If you like decent drama/suspense watch it.

I TRIED to watch Premonition just last night,, too confusing and too disturbing for me. I used to be able to watch that kind of movie, but not anymore.

Did see Wild Hogs though,,,,,, VERY funny.

Another one I recommend is Madea's Family Reunion. Thought it was going to be a comedy, but had a very serious message about abuse in it.
Very powerful movie.

The Derby Stallion is another good one. So is Fire House Dog.

Just a few of the ones I have seen recently.

Wild Hogs was definitely a good one - A little over a month ago I had to have surgery... so pretty much everything on the shelves at Blockbuster has been in my vcr or dvd player. I made it through the "List of 100 Must See Movies" and then some...

Facing the Giants is another good one. The acting is not the best in the world, but the message is great.

This would be a good movie to host on a Saturday night at your church, and a great discussion for the service on Sunday.

How about the new Jim Carrey movie "The Number 23" - not a typical Jim movie... this one was twisted... what an ending though! I found this movie so interesting, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes suspense and logic.
