schools almost out for the summer...

So now what? Summer is upon us, kids are all getting out of school....so what does everyone plan for their kids in the summer?

I know we always have a ton of things we do, competitive swim, orchestra lessons, zoo trips, day trips, tennis lessons, camping, reading, beach, picnics, cleaning the house, painting, lol

So what do you do?

I don't have kids, but I spend a lot of summer days wishing I could be a kid again! I miss sleeping in, watching Little House on the Prairie reruns, eating popsicles until I felt sick and going to the state fair.

Summer is supposed to time to relax, but my husband and I are always working harder because we have nice weather for camper repairs, gardening, etc.

I'll be visiting as many summer festivals as I can to add some play to my work!

I can't believe how fast this summer is slipping away. I am looking foreward to the state fair. I will not go to Summerfest this year as the prices are just way-out there. Hope to get some camping in, and still squeeze in a trip to florida. I will not fly anymore! I will go by train, bus or drive, but I will not get in a plane. have fun-Stay safe

It does seem as if the summer is flying by to quickly! Waited and waited for it to get here and now we are at the end of June already!

Squeezed in alot of things in June already, been to Milwaukee 2 times, Chicago all day Friday, (yesterday), went to the Shedd Museum walked all over Chicago, had a bunch of fun, did a lot of other things during the month and the kids still say we haven't done much. Go figure. lol

Heard July is going to be HOT so I'm sure that will make it seem as if time is going slow then. Hate the hot weather and not looking forward to that.

Anyways, hope everyone is having a good summer this year.

We were in Macy's today in Chicago and I actually was shopping for back to school clothes! Didn't we just get out of school and I'm already starting to look for clothes to go back to school?

But that is the way it is. In July the stores will be flooded with all the sales for back to school supplies again and if you don't buy it then it's all picked over by August. After all they have to move it all out of the stores to make room for Christmas items by Labor Day! lol

What's this world coming too?
