SOAPS (Carol watches general hospital)

Just found this comment from Carol off another forum but it made me think it could be safe to admit (again) that I love ALL MY CHILDREN! lol I remembered that I actually admitted to this on another forum about what tv shows do you watch? But I have to admit it is fun to at least have one other person come out and say they watch a soap show finally besides me! lol

I have watched AMC soap since the beginning of time. Well at least the beginning of the show which was way...way...back in the early 70's? Wow how time has flown by.

But General Hospital has been on since everyone's mom's were young. lol I remember as a very young girl going over to my friend's house and her mom always watched General Hospital in the afternoon in black and white. lol When Dr Hardy was younger! (I was reallly young)! lol

So do we have any more closet soap fans on here that would love to come out and admit it? Don't let Carol and myself be the only ones on here! :lol:

I'm also a Young and the Restless junkie. I used to skip out of school to watch this and then hop the city bus and show up late on a daily basis.

I can remember sitting on my aunts screen porch up on the farm with her when I was 6? 7? ~ every summer with her watching the Y & R.

We'd go out and care for the critters but always be back inside for the show at 9 am.

I only got hooked on GH this year. I had no clue it was full of hot sexy mobsters with dreamy eyes!! LOL
That crazy Spinelli is what got my interest ~ he's the internet Jackyl.

Welcome Marisa! Passions? I dont think I've ever heard of that one.

Way back when in the 80's there was one called "Sana Barbara" That one was pretty good. My fav there was Cruise.

I've heard of Passions but never watched it except for commercials. Didn't Nina's husband, Dr. Clliff Warner from AMC play on that one? Anyone know?

Cliff Warner from AMC did not play on Passions, he plays on the Young and the Restless. I just looked it up. I just see the commercials and see him sometimes. His real name is Peter Bergman.

Bergman appeared in numerous regional theatrical productions and in several television commercials before landing his first role as Dr. Cliff Warner on the daytime drama All My Children in 1979. He played the role until 1989, receiving a 1983 Emmy Award nomination for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Series."

He joined The Young and the Restless in 89 after he left AMC.

Back in the mid 80's I remember going to Lakehurst Mall (the mall is no longer there), to see Dr. Cliff Warner, and several others from the cast of All My Children. They all spoke to us and then we were able to go up and talk to each one and get autographs. That was a big deal back then. lol

What will happen next? Is Nicholas going to kill someone in his rage?

Is Rick going to die? What about Anthony Zakarah? I can't imagine he will really get Lulu..............

All this commotion going on, when is Sonny going to realize something is going on?

It's funny you would bring this topic back up again Carol. I was just thinking that I should look this up and get it started again. We have so many new members that maybe someone would like to talk about their favorite Soap?

We all know that mine is ALL MY CHILDREN and Carol's is GENERAL HOSPITAL! Anyone else watch one of these shows? If not care to share something about your favorite show?
